What was Vader thinking

in ROTJ when the Emperor is attacking luke with the force lighting and vader is watching between luke and the emperor, what was he thinking about?

 

He was thinkinb about what he should do. Here's his son getting cooked by Palpy and before, he was trying to get him, Vader, to let go of his hatred and anger.

On the other hand, there was palpy and Vader, i think, feared Palpy.

So he was trying to figure out what to do.

Either remain with Palpy and lose Luke, or go with Luke and lose his own life.

So either way, either Vader or Luke was going to die that day...
And it was Vader who chose the latter.

 

He was thinking he left the door open to his hyperbaric chamber....
someone might take the Cheez-Its clearly marked "Lord Vader"
