ST What Will be the Rating?

I embrace the PG-13 rating.

 

I was expecting it would be pg13!

 

They'll probably all be PG-13.

 

To be expected.

 

This is not official. I think some sites have jumped the gun on this. I noticed this last night in a few ticket sales screen captures I saw for a cinema or two. But on ESPN it SPECIFICALLY said "this film is not yet rated" on the screen.

PG-13 is like standard for action blockbusters these days. So it means nothing.

It's PG-13.
The minions is the kind of movie that gets rated PG these days.

 

It can't be anything less or more than PG-13. It's a given.

Judging by the trailer, I'd be surprised if it wasn't PG-13.

 

Don't really care since it's just for fantasy violence and maybe the reported scene where Rey gets tipsy.

 

I was hoping for pg-13. I don't want it to be too dark, but a PG in 2015 might be a bad sign.

I'm thinking the whole murder of Han Solo would dash anyone's hopes of it being PG. But that's just my opinion.

 

There was no way this wasn't going to be rated PG-13.

 

Back in the 70s/80s you could get away with a lot more in PG. Movies like ANH, Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark etc would most likely be pg-13

Mostly because there *was* no PG-13 until 1984.

 

So now we are at a point where a drop or two of blood bumps a film to a PG-13? LOL What a fragile society we live in nowadays.

ROTS getting the PG-13 was understandable due to the nature of Anakin's injuries at the end.

But rating TFA PG-13 because Finn and Poe have small cuts on their faces is just a painfully weak reason. Almost laughable.

Yes. The point I'm making though is if pg-13 did exist when those movies came out they would probably get stamped with it.
