I voted HP. No doubt in my mind in will flatten all competition.

 

The next Batman film isn't due until 2008. POTC3 is going to have stiff competition in Shrek, as they're being released around the same time ... Shrek 2 outgrossed POTC2 in the states. I think it depends on how good the films are, if they stand up to repeat viewings or not.

 

was "Pirates ..." III filmed back to back with the second one? Seems like a really fast turnaround. Actually, I haven't seen the second one. I was pretty underwhelmed by the first film - waaaay to long and, let's not be coy about it, Orlando Bloom is a rubbish actor.

 

yeah, they were filmed concurrently. I found the second one a bit long, but definitely worth watching, if only for ILM's fantastic work on the Kraken.

 

POTC 2 was rubbish, not interested in the third one at all

 

Flag Bloom's acting ability, Miss Knightly's shocking 'posh' accent is a huge turn off.

 

I vote Transformers or the new Ninja Turtles lol

 

Transformers might have a hard time finding a large audience outside its fanbase, given the competition it will be up against.

Spiderman 3 will gross the highest easily. It ties with 2 other films (Superman Returns and another one) for the most espensive film ever. ($250 million!) So it is a garuntee that this will crack the box office big time. However it has major competition from Harry Potter 5 and Pirates 3.
