What will George Lucas do after he finishes the PT?

My guess is he will disappear into the sunset with our money, never to be seen/heard of again. Rather like after ROTJ when he disapeared for 20 years.

 

Rumor has it he wants to do some documentary films (I've heard something about a Roman Empire documentary) and some experimental, less commercial films in the vein of THX-1138.

 

Maybe if he's really lucky, he might actually get someone to thank him for devoting so much of his life to Star Wars.

Actually, I think he still wants to do films. Something completely diverse from Star Wars. It will be interesting to see what he comes up with.

I am sceptical about this because you cannot trust anything he says, and he lies alot.

I think he will retire and re-release the films in different formats over and over again, thus making more billions. Not before updating the OT again and releasing that on DVD.

I do know he will be working with Speilberg on the next INdina flim....

After ROTJ, he had kids to raise. Now his kids are grown or nearly so. He said his plans are to make some small, low-budget films. Helming the prequels has revived his interest in directing (ANH nearly killed it).

 

Hopefully devote his time to other project's, it would be healthy for him and he's already milked Star Wars for everything it's worth.

Note: It's not imperative to make anymore OT re-release's! (except the DVD version's)

He's probably sick of trying to please your average fanboy by now.

I don't think it's fair to say that he's lying. That implies a bit more negative motive than I'm willing to fiat on him. I do think that he wants to change history by changing the OT, but I wouldn't go that far.

I think he'll focus his efforts on the variety of film/non-film projects LFL and he have started.

 

You don't think he approved the casting of Natalie Portman for the part of Padme for nothing, did you?
