What will you want in the guidebooks

Well, by May 19, the saga will finally be told. And we can certainly expect a whole new onslaught of books from ROTS ICS, Art of ICS and other spin-offs coming out soon.

So.......... what will you like to have in these guidebooks and any further reference material that will come out, perhaps in relevence to the SW tv show or some grand closure to the SW movies?

I for one will like to see a new book dedicated solely to the cut scenes of SW movies. The DVD shows us so many interesting shots, but surely in Skywalker Ranch, there must be more uncut scenes that have never been shown to the SW public, or its existence not even suspected by SW fans.

It also seems that the ROTS ICS no longer have any stats to them, like the ones in the AOTC ICS. That's sad, those stats made those books look exactly like the Guide to Aircraft, or any other hobby reference magazine/book. Its like picking up "the illustrated guide to WW2 aircraft" and reading about the LAAT like one would read about the Spitfire. Ultra cool. The removal of such details make them look like every other guide out there, booooorrrriiiinnngggg.

History guidebook to SW characters. Just think about it. After ROTS, the only way the SW saga will expand is through the EU novels, comics, and the SW tv show. What better to start this all off, by finally creating a definitive SW history guidebook for the characters? We finally learn what Han Solo wins his Correllian Bloodstripe for, how old he truly is, Madine coming of age, how Wedge felt when he lost his parents. Maybe they can post extracts like Han Solo academy scores, or Captain Panaka service in the Sector fleet, etc etc etc. It will be like the ultimate RPG guidebook.

 

-Consistency with the movies (eleven mile long Executor)

-numbers, that make sense (no kilowatt-lasers conducting a BDZ, no surface-to-space-artillery, that is unable to target objects outside the atmosphere)

-texts, that make sense with what we see (ISD can't be the standard-largest battleship, if it can be taken out by one or two shots from a planetary cannon)

-internal consistency (if you have a ship with ten cannons and a ship with thousand cannons and both are more or less equally strong, the weapons of the second vessel must be a lot smaller, than those of the first)

 

Just tell me what the hell a BARC trooper is and isn't, and who those guys with Bly are in the trailer, and i'll be happy.

 

What, no else has any wishlist for any new reference materials coming out?
