That statement I do stand firmly by.
People died that day. Is your comment meant to be funny?
What isn't funny is that I posted that same answer! Joke thief! Joke thief!!!!
A Chorus of Disapproval, there are comments being made here that are just downright wrong, wouldn't you agree.
The thread has been spoiled with the "shooting" comments.
I didn't know that. So in which case you are the "wrong doer" and this other person is just aping you and has no mind of there own.
Oh, I can piss myself and be publicly humiliated and that's somehow the funnies... but being shot is suddenly serious business...? Now there's an imbalanced standard.
I call for the thread to be locked and deleted.
It was offensive to begin with but is now just gone sour.
My interest is gone.
Real people dying isn't funny.
Same here, which is why I said I would leave the theatre if it happened.
Have some respect for those who recently lost their lives, this isn't a sarcasm, or twisted humor thread.
85% of the replies in here are nothing but sarcasm. My intial post of that offensive statement has a dozen 'likes' (including from Mods) on it because nearly every post in this thread isn't remotely serious. Let's not derail this thread with debates over ethics. I posted nonsense that offended a person while making 12 others "like' it. I'm not here to damage sensitive kids, so I apologize, but this doesn't have to turn into a sermon.
Jar Jar, Ani and the ewoks all screaming "noooooooooooo!" like Vader in the Blu Rays.
In unison? That may actually be a deal breaker for me, as well...
If after the "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away" all we see is Lucas stroll out into the center of the screen against a white backdrop. Face the audience. He clears his throat before turning around, dropping his pants and mooning the audience while ridiculing the audience with "You want a sequel trilogy? I've got your sequel trilogy right here? There was no story. No story!" etc. for two hours.
I'd walk out on that.
Only because there isn't a dislike button. If I had seen the post earlier I would have called you on it.
Anything to bring Star Wars story to Earth
If anyone says, "I know, right?"
I don't tend to walk out of movies. They'd have to do something horribly atrocious to make me do it. And yes, none of the prequels was enough for that.
I didn't walk out of the PT movies either, but it was only because I kept hoping up until the last moment that that they would redeem themselves. Knowing what I know now, I probably will walk out of SW7 at the first sign the movie is flopping over into the Jar-Jar/Midi-chlorian zone.
Yuuzhan Vong, need I say more?
Borsk Fey'lya as Chief of State. I might not walk out but if he screws up the New Republic I will not be happy.
I would be so excited to see a Yuuzhan Vong in the movies. Maybe toned down on their want to kill us all but their ships and weapons would be sweet to see on the Big Screen.
I wouldn't mind them as an alien race... but I don't want them enemies or a big presence. To my mind the NJO was the start of the EUs decline so I'd rather avoid them... If the Swarm appears I will walk out.
Makes sense. I would love to see one saving the day though. I love the NJO though. If the Killiks show up... that would be problematic. One would be okay but not many more than that.
I felt violently ill after reading the first Swarm War book, I just gave up on the EU and only started buying Zahn books after that. It just... made me want to walk away from Star Wars forever, and then when I heard where they went with Jacen... I was mortified. Post-NJO must go... NJO can go... but Thrawn must stay in the timeline... I swear, otherwise this will be a disaster.
