84 pages in, I'd say yes. Otherwise, why are we on a Star Wars message board?

"What would get you so mad that you would walk out of Episode VII?" It must be a fun and richly rewarding question, otherwise we wouldn't be 85 pages deep in it.

Well...most of the responses to the actual question are sarcastic in nature, so I don't think it's the rich and rewarding nature of the question, but the funny and sarcastic nature of the forum membership. ;)

My favourite reply was on the first pages, wich more or less reads like this: "if the end credits start rolling, I'm out of the theatre"

Do you guys just blatantly ignore mod warnings or something? Mavjade said cut the Trek nonsense. I'm trying to help y'all. I was banned for two days in the DR thread among others. It sucked. I don't want you guys to get banned.

Anyway, I would walk out if someone in my family went to the hospital.:(

Luke kills Han - even 'accidentally.'

Yes, that would make me walk out.

After being the guy who basically sacrificed his own well being to rescue his friends - not once but TWICE (Cloud City and Jabba's Palace), 30 years later he decides to kill his best friend? (and let's not cite the Obi-Wan/Anakin example as a comparison)

Sorry, I think that is garbage. Corrupted by the dark side or not.

I actually like Star Trek. And I would venture a guess that most other Star Wars fans did too. Because lots of people went and saw it, and then decided to buy the money. From there this prompted the powers that be that he was the right person to direct Star Wars (which he actually has an interest in)

You say "even 'accidentally'" followed by "he decides to kill his best friend"... the latter does not work with the former. How do you decide to accidentally kill your best friend?

You don't know the true circumstances, even if the rumor is accurate. It sounds like there are 3 people involved... Han could jump in front of Driver, akin to Anakin between Mace & Palpatine, only Han gets cut down since he doesn't have a saber of his own to cut off Luke's hand. Or Han could get in the way and Driver actually accidentally kills him, but Luke is left unsure whether it was his own blade or Driver's that caused the fatal wound (he's supposed to be fairly unbalanced, after all). Or several other possibilities.

It's not gonna be Luke saying "Get out of my way, Han. I will kill you." "Luke, don't. Don't kill my son. There's still good in him! Remember what you told me about your father!" "This is different, he's too far gone. Look at what he's done! Step aside." "I can't. He's my boy." "So be it." <STABBY STAB STAB> I mean think about it... if Luke decides to kill Han to get at Driver, what's there to stop him from completing the job and killing Driver, too? Ridley and/or Boyega piling on top of him? Driver diving out an escape hatch? Someone using the Force to knock him down or something? Whoever delivers the fatal blow, Luke would probably be shocked and saddened by the realization that Han is dying, giving an opening for Driver to escape or causing Luke to take pity and spare him (angrily or not). That wouldn't likely happen if Luke decided to kill Han, madness or no.

No offense, but this thread is rubbish. There is no credible reason that could make me angry enough to walk out of the film early. None. I'm sure J.J./Lucasfilm are aware of prior 'mistakes' and are careful not to duplicate them. In fact, I can't imagine many (or any) people walking out early out of frustration or anger. Certainly not SW fans.

    Whoa.

Talk about over analyzing and over thinking what I wrote in my post.

Hey, I think the whole idea of Luke "killing" Han is dumb. Just my opinion. This thread has asked what would make me so mad that I would walk out of theatre? I would have to say a scene like that.

Would I actually 'walk out'? Maybe not. :p

I do think that there are SOME things that would make me walk out of the theater, but only things so out of reach that I might even stay just in amazement. Something along the lines of turning the film into a family friendly PG-13 comedy with Kevin James making fart noises and falling down with a thirteen minute long advertisement for Comcast's new program to buy out the entire cable industry through a partnership with the United Nations featuring gratuitous amounts of nudity and one long ear piercing screech throughout that is literally painful to listen to for longer than a few seconds.
