  1. A Message For Everyone:

TCW vs. Rebels debates are not allowed in the Television forum. As in, discussions that descend into TCW/Rebels (or any show vs any other show) bashing/gushing will be subject to Mod action. Contrasting the themes, story lines, characters, etc. between the shows is allowed (welcomed, even). "Versus" debates/arguments, however, are a deal-breaker.

Will they follow the current EU, unified with Spar's Protectors and join the CIS? I actually want to see Durge come back to take his revenge upon the Mandalorians.

    This happens to Mandalore.

With the series done and cancelled, there's nothing else to do with Mandalore but continue upon its established history. With any luck, whatever handful of episodes are still lurking out there waiting for an eventual release will steer clear of Mandalorian space and things can continue on as normal.

    As for Durge...
While a confrontation between him and a group of Mandalorians would no doubt make quite the battle, his is a fate that's already written. Durge has a date with quite the hot star, and considering the timeframe, I don't think she'll be waiting long.

Many plots of Obsession has been retconned by TCW, and who said Durge couldn't come back from that?

Spar first joined Pre Vizla's faction. Afterwards, when Vizla was killed and Maul was defeated by Palpatine, he became the leader of the Mandalorians.
Palpatine would manipulate him into attacking Republic targets. VoilĂ ...

But the show has been cancelled, it might continue in comics or novels.

I don't the remaining episodes could finish this tale, it's just 10-12 episodes. We already got Clovis and that part we see on the preview.

According to Leeland Chee, the part of Obsession that deals with Durge remains canon. But depending on whether you believe the Imperial scientists on Dantooine in Star Wars: Galaxies, there's a chance that Durge did actually survive that, but even if he did, he's out of action until sometime during the Galactic Civil War.

Palpatine sees Mandalore as a threat and destroys it with the Death Star. That's what they were building toward, anyway.

That was while ago, it's easy to make a retcon.
