What would Luke do?

If Anakin hadn't died at the end of ROTJ, what do think Luke would have done? He can't go back to the rebels right away (because they would kill Anakin).

 

I think Vader would have turned himself in to the Rebels to stand trial for war crimes. I don't think Luke would stop him either, as Vader is trying to redeem himself in the eyes of the galaxy.

That topic is asking if Anakin deserves to be redeemed. Mine is asking what Luke & Anakin would do if Anakin didn't die & he didn't want to go back to the rebels (because they would kill him). They are different.

 

I think the real question is...

WHAT WOULD BRIAN BOITANO DO?

He'd chase Vader around with a pair of cuffs and a metal rod.

 

I don't think that Vader would go back right away; I could picture him trying to "undo" his crimes by damaging the Empire as much as possible, and perhaps dying in the process. Of course, that assumes that Vader didn't sustain such injuries in those final scenes. As for Luke, he might be content with the fact that Vader turned back to the good side and may not force him to return to the rebels.
