I wonder if anything will ever beat Governor Sanford "disappearing" for a week, with not even his staff knowing, then a message from him saying he's spontaneously "hiking the Appalachian Trail," and then to arrive home on airplane for a tearful press conference to announce his years-old affair with a mistress in Argentina :p Real life can be weirder than the most absurd books and movies.

What would suprise me in US politics?

If a small and furry rodent won the GOP primary in California.

    But it must be small.

That's a lot of chauvinistic women. (Taking 2010 national exit polls as a rough indicator of political affiliation, and the national polls, it's something like 15% of women that support Santorum)

There are a lot of women who have no problem whatsoever with male chauvinism, who believe it is their place to allow men to rule over them. Case in point: Michele Bachmann's statements that she didn't really want to go to law school but her husband told her to do it and it is her job to obey him.

Pretty pathetic that 15 percent of women in 2012 think that way, but it is what it is.

I would be surprised if most Congressional supporters actually cared about SOPA in the slightest. They care about donations from industry lobby groups.

There is no law that says the president has to be a human, somebody once wanted to run a chimp.

Too bad he never got to far.
