The post-NJO. I've seen it referred to as the Denningverse here, similar to how people refer to Shadow Hunter, Medstar, Coruscant Nights, etc., as the Reavesverse.
We need a guide to verses.
It's a magical world where bad writing a plot devices run free.......
In 2001, many were expecting Jaina to fall.
Can you explain why to us who was not hear back then?
in Star By Star, Jaina threw Force Lightning at the Vong, and as I recall, she was extremely ruthless in Dark Journey.
Oh, I see
Would it have been better if Jaina turned?
I think so.
Definitely better than Jacen turning because he was so much of an infidel as to question the Jedi!
So the ideal plot for FotJ, I'm gathering, is that our hero was once instrumental to saving the galaxy from a ruthless band of invaders, but doing so caused him to turn against the Jedi. After being stripped of his powers, he must retrace his original journey in an attempt to stop a shadowy, mysterious threat. Sound familiar?
How about now?
Follow up the NJO with a repetition of the prequels followed by a repetition of KOTOR?
Well, it's not like there's a lot of wiggle room at this point- everything's been done.
There's a reason LOTF was originally supposed to occur in the Old Republic era.
Re: Jaina as a darksider
Read Traitor and the bit with her in it, there's your proof right there as to how she'd work out.
I think that I am doing the right decision to end my head cannon around the end of the Young Jedi Knight series
No. Read the NJO you won't regret it.
Remember, cannon go boom.
Oh, and with regards to a KOTOR rehash: nihil novi sub sole. It'd be better than another PT rehash, so long as the dialogue wasn't directly cribbed as well as the plot.
You know what? Screw it. Let's take matters into our own hands. Let's rebuild LotF from the ground up. It will be one of the most epic fanfics in history.
*raises lightsaber to the sky* Who's with me?
You can't polish a turd!
I wouldn't say the problem with the Legacy of the Force series was entirely the story, but also the execution. I wouldn't expect the KOTOR story to be executed any better.
You don't know until you try.
Remember, KotGA is only one of the many plots we could pick. I'm tossing ideas around in my head right now.
I bet we could.
Sinre pulled it off with just Invincible; I'm guessing that if a bunch of us put our heads together and invested four or five years on the job, it could be done satisfactorily. Not at all sure I'd be willing to volunteer for such a job, though.
