okay so say they're launching some sort of exploratory device into deep space. what would YOU nominate for inclusion? it can be anything, from a mathematical expression signifying the beginning of friendship to a starchart pinpointing earth's exact location (lol, way to bring the borg right to us, dip****) to futanari porn that the aliens may better understand our anatomy and gender concept.

me? im putting in chamillionaire's video for "Ridin'" because i can think of no better way to represent both our artistic achievements as a species and our most important truth distilled from 6000 years life on earth since jesus first created people and dinosaurs -- "**** the police"

if we are to hope that this legacy may outlive our very species, let our warning go out to the stars: **** cops. hopefully the capsule will not be intercepted and impounded by some form of space police

Ramza please convert the essential themes of "ridin'" into a mathematical form so that the aliens are more likely to interpret it accurately

I remember being very impressed with and proud for Chamillionaire when he stated that he felt the best moment of his life was when he learned his song had been part of the inspiration for a news magazine investigation into racial profiling by law enforcement. Then I felt sad when apparently that segment got bumped for time from whatever show was going to air it.

Armenian also made a decent thread about this.

This plastic vibrating bee I got for Christmas. Because I don't want it and yet I can't quite bring myself to throw it out.

i think i understand your intent but how can we be sure alien genetalia would be stimulated efficiently by a vibrating device the way human genetalia are?

Alas, I am afraid no modern algorithm exists that can convert beats that fresh to the five universal constants.

Because 99.9% of all aliens can be successfully impersonated by a man in a foam rubber suit. They also all understand English, which is why I've written on the bee in big black letters, "PLEASE TAKE THIS ****ING VIBRATING PLASTIC BEE."

what about just "cops are out to get you" or something? could we do that in maths?

I think the issue is that to do so, you would make the beats less fly and the rhymes, <"dope".

If that is the case, what's the point?

well, we would still include the song as well. im just saying lets have the mathematical message of "dont trust cops" as a failsafe in case the only aliens encountered by the capsule are some sort of race of space-norweigians incapable of processing hip hop

Would space norweigans have anything to fear from the police, though?

I feel like the "police" message is mostly about the NY and LAPDs, Maiek. Metropolitan Police aren't as shooty as their US counterparts, for example.

Sure, you'd just use generalized quantifiers and the lambda calculus. You'd get something like (λX.λY.X⊆Y)(C)(G).

    Loses a lot, though.

Jabba-wocky not earth police but they might encounter some form of the aforementioned space police and, being norweigian and unaccostomed to police brutality, would provide easy targets without our hard-won warning.

Ramza if that's true i love you

My aunt and uncle. They also gave me a box of couscous, a Snuggie, and a self-help book.

    Nice people, but weird.

i was pretty sure before but the snuggie makes me certain: they've given up on you finding a boyfriend and are attempting to offer palliative measures
