whats_a_wookie_: Welcome to the boards, mate! :D

I'm Ken Kenobi. If you ever have any questions, or just want to chat, feel free to shoot me a Private Message. :)

Additionally, you might want to visit the Welcome New Users forum and introduce yourself- the folks over there will be sure to give you a hearty hello, and they can help you with any questions you have as well. ;)

In response to your question, I'd most definately have to say Star Wars Episode III. I'm not much of a LoTR fan, but I'm a very big Star Wars fan, so it's only logical that I choose the last installment of the Star Wars saga. ;) :)

Ken Kenobi- And you have a nice day ;)

This is a tough one. I'm more of a fan of SW, but I'd have to say I like the story of LotR at LEAST as much as SW...

So I guess I would SEE SW since I'd still be able to read LotR.

    Hell, no contest at all.
If I really had to only pick one, Ep3 would win without a shadow of a doubt.

I'd say Episode 3, no question. While I am a LOTR fan, it just can't match Star Wars in my mind. And though I loved FOTR's film adaptation, I have some serious doubts about ROTK after the way TTT turned out.

As a side note, if E3's special effects are anything like LOTR's, I'll be horrendously disappointed. Aside from WETA's fantastic job on Gollum, I found the vast majority of FOTR and TTT's digital effects to be offensively bad. Anakin on a shaak bad, only worse. But that's just my opinion.

My friends will probably kill me for this, but... Ep. III. I like the LOTR movies, but I just can't get into the books.

    SW3.

I already know what happens in ROTK.

Of course, I also already know what happens in T2T, but didn't quite get that in the movie... [face_plain]

    Rick McCallum loves you!

I would really like to say Both but since that isn't an option I will of course side with Episode 3. :)

I'd like to point out that you can always read the novelisation of Episode 3 when it comes out. So there will be a book. ;)

Obviously were all gonna say EP3 because we all started the SW saga and we all intend to finish it; Who's gonna miss the last SW installment that is right between EP2 & 4? It would be incomplete.

So yeah I would definatley rather see EP3.

Episode III. I don't care about ROTK. And I'm glad Lucas doesn't use the same crappy, tenth-rate effects that are used in the Lord of the (Bo)Rings flicks. Only Gollum was up to snuff, and that was because the Weta folks consulted with ILM beforehand.
