First off Darth Maul was sliced in half by Obi-wan---if you still need help figureing this out ---There is a thing called a lightsaber....it has an energy blade which can cut through anything except another lightsaber. Obi-Wan got his "former" masters Lightsaber and did a force jump and sliced through The "was" Sith Lord.

And people knew that he had been cut in half cause his body from mid torso went in two seperate directions.

"Yeah well in the Jedi Knight game the Dark Jedi Maw was cut in half by Master Rahn, and Maw's torso survived and he attached it to a repulsor engine and flew around and stuff, so there!"

Thats what someone might say to prove that Maul could have survived being de-torsoed with a lightsabre...

Maw didn't have to deal with falling 100 stories into a reactor...that is what that pit in that room was, right?

No, Rahn just hacked his legs off. His torso was intact.

No, I remember Lucasfilm said Maul's legs would be running around with a droid upper half attached to them! Seriously! :p

Secondly, "it (a lightsaber) has an energy blade which can cut through anything except another lightsaber"

It also can't cut through cortosis ore, or the hand rails on the left hand side (left hand side while facing the turbolift) of the Emperor's throne room in the Death Star II.

"It also can't cut through cortosis ore"

Actually, it can; it's just that the blade is deactivated when it goes into cortosis ore. You can still cut through it, but it takes a long time. :)
