Whatever happened to the old rumor that Hamill would be in Indy IV?

I haven't heard anything since Ford said it was his idea a couple of years ago.

 

The way I see it, the script has evolved so much there may not even be room for it.

I'm certain no one's forgotten entirely about the notion, and if they do ever shoot the movie, they'll give the idea consideration, assuming Hamill is game. It's not as if he's against the idea of "Hey, kids! It's Mark Hamill!" cameos, as "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" proved.

I think it would be fun seeing him as the bad guy. Turns in Slipstream and Midnight Ride are good examples of his range as a bad guy.

 

Also lets not forget his performance in the Sadly short lived "The Flash" as the Trickster, along with his Joker voicing in the animated Batman. If anything he is building up a reputation as a baddy rather than as a hero.

 

I didn't mean to overlook those (especially the Joker since it was perfect), but I used those two as examples because they are more "real life" than over-the-top.

 

Since Denholm Elliott has died since Indy III (He played Marcus Brody), I think it would be great if they cast Mark in a similar role as a museum director or college Dean.

 

That'd be pretty cool.

 

Lets not forget his role as Cocknocker.

 

Every time hear or see the name Cocknocker I just start laughing real hard. That role was hilarious. That was the main reason I bought Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back.

 

So sreiously, lets hope Mark at least has a cameo, you hear that Lucas!?!?!

Yeah, that might be cool but do you know what people would say..."Well, he was in SW so naturally Lucas would give him a role in Indy 4" or something like that...me personally, I wouldn't care, it would be kind of neat to see him in it.

 

It would be nice to see him get a role.

 

A lot of directors do this, Ford is Solo and Jones afterall. Check out Depp's resume or how Marsden is in X-Men and Superman Returns.
