Whats everyones favorite scene in ESB?

Mine would have to be either the Duel in Cloud City or The Battle of Hoth.

 

Asteroid chase.

 

Luke/Vader Duel and the Escape from Cloud City.

When the doors to the Falcon Docking bay open on cloud city and our heroes escape. I love the way the music builds to that moment. I also like the concern that Lando has for Leai and Chewie telling Leia to get in the ship, while he holds the Stormies off. It shows us that he isn't the character we perceived him to be, but rather a hero.

I know, oneliners are useless, but there's no way I could describe how much I love that scene. It's so beautyful, powerful. And foremost, it's Imperial.

 

Vader: Kenobi never told you what happened to your father.
Luke: He told me enough. He told me you killed him.
Vader: No Luke, I am your father!

Still sends chills down my spine when I see that bit.

 

When Vader was walking through the hallway leading the snow troopers on Hoth. He just look so powerful and like a true leader.

 

I'll tell you what I found the most surprising scene:

When I saw ESB for the first time, I was expecting to see ANH...

So the opening scene was pretty surprising!

 

Every scene from the first shot of the Imperial fleet on.

 

When Yoda acts like a psycho to test Luke, I can't help but laugh each time I see that.

 

God, there's too much. Where to begin?
The Battle of Hoth (the part where Veers blows up the generator)
The Carbon Freeze sequence (perhaps one of the most powerful scenes in the saga).
The duel, rescuing Luke, the Falcon's hyperdrive finally working, and the ending are also my faves.

Alright...I'll just pick one of my many favourites at random...okay...Yoda whacking Artoo with his stick.
"Mine! Mine! Mine!"

 

Gotta love crazy Yoda.

 

The escape routes Luke and Han take.

Luke's was peaceful, Han's was chaotic.

It cracks me up everytime.

 

Vader at the dinner table. I just love the idea of Vader sitting down and eating at the dinner table.

I remember seeing the trailers on TV way back when and thinking, "We get to see Vader eat? Cool!"

 

I agree with Bib and HanSolo29.

My favorite scene in all of Star Wars is TESB asteroid chase. I love the action. I love the dialogue. And I really love the music. The music is the best in the entire saga. Plus the little hidden things to look for (the flaming TIE pilot is my favorite.) It is always been my favorite scene to watch and it still is.

Chewie performs a perfect 180-degree reverse flip turn in the clouds as the music builds to a crescendo. THe Falcon flies over our heads and Luke's moment of utter despair is healed by his sister.

Star Wars don't get much better than that!
