Has anybody noticed? In ANH, the Imperial officers count "about 30 Rebel ships" at the Death Star battle. We see when the DS explodes that 4 ships (including the Falcon) made it out. Then, in AotC, Cliegg says that 30 people went out looking for Shmi and 4 came back. I'm just wondering if this was intentional or if GL just pulls this stuff out of the air.

    Hmmmm...

    Interesting observation stacysatrip. Very interesting...

*shrugs* Seems to me like it may be coincidence but then again, knowing GL and all his "tricks", it is probably intentional.

Perhaps we should look into the situation more throughly. I mean, perhaps this "30 to 4" thing is sort of a standard for battles or instances in which a number that relates to 30 goes out, and a number that relates to 4 returns.

You know, like 60 are sent out and 8 return, or something like that.

*shrugs* Don't mind me..just my little complex thought compounded thinking running amuck in a topic that allows it.. ;) :p

Ken Kenobi- And you have a nice day ;)

Wait, from the examples given I'm confused. Because you heard the number thirty twice, and you also heard 4 (many other numbers said as well), that's some sort of gimmick or trait?

Wait a minute, Valorum sent TWO Jedi Knights to settle the confilict at Naboo, then ten years later, Palpatine sends TWO Jedi Knights to protect Padmé

Something freaky is going on here.

In A NEW HOPE, on the Death Star,
    you hear:

"Clear Bay 327, we're opening the
    magnetic field."

    Then in THE PHANTOM MENACE,
    It's also used on Tatooine
when Qui Gon and Watto are
    discussing Amidala's ship.
    It's a Nubian 327.
