How come all those topics got locked on the fifth or sixth page?

 

The board system automatically locks topics when they become stale and unused. Somewhere around the 6 month mark or so I think...

Why it does I don't know, but that is what it does.

Awww...but those could have been bumped up and used for some pointless and meaningless purpose.

 

Any mod (or RSA ) can unlock them. Likewise, YJN can turn off the pruning. We should ask him to.

What does pruning mean? Can he turn it off?

 

Pruning is what the locking, and subsequent deletion, of the unused threads. And, as far as I know, mods can turn it on and off.
