got the new alkaline trio cd today. not bad but not nearly as awesome as the last 2 albums they put out. im sure it will grow on me.

 

Dusted off my Edith Piaf and am blaring it through the kitchen much to the chagrin of the Bean who is trying to watch cartoons. Its as though their scores have just been replaced by La Vie en Rose.

I was just thinking, we should change the title of this thread to "What's on your MP3 Player Right now?"

 

I think I made that suggestion a couple of years ago and here's what happened:

On 10/11/06 jthornto threw out this piece of wisdom:

Boy, I was quite vociferous about it!!

And then AHPR tossed out this after I mocked Cory with a reference to 8-track players...

And the the front office did what it does best...ignore the topic and let it die.

I still think it's a good idea and applicable now more than ever. Even if you haven't been assimilated by Apple's iPod, you more than likely listen to the majority of your music via those little files known as MP3s. Perhaps we can title it "what's in your playlist now"?

I've spent the last 2 days experiencing my "The Midnight Special" DVDs... I expect NO ONE else to remember this show.

 

I'm listening to crickets since nobody replied to JGOC and my old suggestion to change the name of the thread.

 

Well I know nnaydolem uses an MP3 player in her car now too. So she can't call us snobs anymore. And just FYI for all those who want to know. I don't actually own an MP3 player... although technically my car cd player counts since it actually plays MP3 format... therefore it is technically an MP3 player.

I have been going from band to band all week. Josh texted me and said he was listening to AFI and did I remember what a great CD it was so I played everything I had from them. Then it was gODHEAD then Alkaline Trio.

 

Was listening to 60's pop last week and discovered that not all the lyrics are timeless... Spent a considerable amount of time laughing myself silly.

This week I shifted to Power Ballads, and honestly... I'm having the same reaction.

Might be time to re-think the theme for the week.

 

My current play list is Epica, but I've been listenig to it for a while so I will probably shift to somethig else shortly.

I'm fine with changing the title to 'playlist'. The terminology is fairly generic and could even refer to a list of songs on a CD if you're listening to it on a computer.

 

Today was wierd, I set the ipod to shuffle and got boingo, cinderella, the beatles and johnny cash all in a row. it was good!

 

Its gonna be a Chevelle day, I think.
