yeah, i was way up in one of the bleachers cause i forgot to buy tickets right away and i didnt have the money to spend more than 50 bucks on a ticket... they werent too bad though, and you can feel the energy of their music all throughout the stadiums anyways... i really loved the setlist, a little of everything and a lot over all... plus i went with two of my best girl-friends so that made the night even better... im gonna buy it just to relive that night... ahh memories.

that was a great night for sure. you probably know but, he got fined $1000 for every minute he played past 10 o'clock. He played till 10:15 (paid 15 grand)& said later that it wasnt a big deal to pay that money to give the crowd some extra tunes- the traffic to boulder forced alot of people to arrive late & it rained a little too.
I saw Sammy Hagar stop early at fiddlers just last week, because of rain. I was kinda pissed. I had aleady been soaked for an hour-"hey, we're still here!!-finish your set, man!!!"
Ive seen dave in the rain 3 times & he never stopped early. DMB rules.

We can talk about DVDs in this thread too, right?

I've been buying DVDs here and there for a few months now, but last night I finally took the plunge and sold off just about all of my videotape collection (except for titles not yet available on DVD -- can you believe Raiders of the Lost Ark is not out on DVD yet?). Now I'm replacing stuff on DVD - it's interesting how much stuff I had on tape that I hadn't watched in years and will probably never replace on DVD.

Last night I picked up Memento, Men in Black and Desperado. All great movies, you should check them out if you haven't yet. Other favorites I've picked up recently are Snatch and the Usual Suspects.

    Any recommendations?

Speaking of Rain & concerts, I've only once been to a rainy show where they stopped the show and it still took them a while to stop it. Lyle Lovett & his Large Band - Summer 2001 - Red Rocks, the whole band had left the stage when the rain started to pour for the third time (there was also some lightning in the distance), but Lyle still kept going doing some solo stuff that was incredible. That is until lightning actually struck the roof of the stage. The crew ran out and bum rushed Lyle into cover. So instead of of the 2-1/2 - 3 hour show he usually does, he only did 2 hours. It was still one of the best shows I've ever seen him perform.

CW-if you're in the market for some decent prices on DVDs, check out deepdiscountdvd.com

I would recommend Das Boat (Director's extended cut).

JP-I haven't listened to that one in years. It has one of my favorite unknown 80's bands on it, Moving Pictures. I love the one they did called "What About Me." I can't tell you how long it took me to find that stupid song. Of course, right after I found the Album on LP, I came across a cassingle w/ it, figures.

Now I can't get that tune, "What About Me?" out of my head. Did Moving Pictures do "Never"? I can't remember how that one goes. My fave was, "Holdin' Out for a Hero". Bonnie Tyler has that great, gutsy rasp thing goin' on. It was demn sixy!

I'll have to convert it to MP3 for you SS, but I went through that for two years, after the tape I had made from the radio fried. It took me that long to find that stupid song. And yes they did do "Never." My sentimental favorite is "Almost Paradise," but you're right, Bonnie Tyler can make almost anybody get up out of their seat. I can't sit still when that song plays. Did you know her album was produced and mostly written by Jim Steinman of Meatloaf fame?
