    hasnt everyone heard that song?

but the best song ever goes...

"shes just a small town girl,
    livin in a lonely world,
she took the midnight train goin anywhere...
    hes just a city boy,
born and raised in south detroit (BOO!!)
he took the midnight train goin anywhere...
a singer in a smoky room,
the smell of whine and cheap perfume,
for a smile they can share the night,
it goes on and on and on and on..."

    ahhh best song ever.

yeah SB i dig that song alot. I think theres two versions of it on the CD. I usually play it a couple times, so im not quite sure. i found out about him from the DMB fanclub actually. they sent out an e-mail when the album came out with a little note from Dave saying how great he was. what a plug!
& QGD youre right too. I just had journey goin a few days ago because- didnt you mention it a while back?- anyway- great song & the hits album is soooooo good. i love greatest hits albums, everytime a song starts you go "oooh, i love this one!"
    today i have--
Dave Matthews Band- listener supported disc 1

The reason for the DMB plug for David Grey, is because it was produced on Dave's label, so is Govt. Mule and a couple more people that I can't remember today.

Oh, right now I am burning some MP3's from the Live from the Archives series from KFOG radio in SF & the KGSR Live Broadcast Albums from Austin. As soon as that one is done, I'll be finishing the Rare On Air MP3's and some Diana Krall (I love the quality of her voice, you can really feel the music when she performs).

    dave matthews...

    greatest band ever...

i own all their cd's (except the singles that have like 3 songs on them), plus i have the lillywhite sessions (the summer so far) cd that came out over a year ago.... now im just anticipating the Busted Stuff cd that comes out next month... ive heard clips from the songs (they sound different enough from the lillywhites that ill get the cd, for example, i can understand what he says in the song "raven" now) and "you never know" has the potential to become one of my fave songs from dave... my fave dave cd set is the live at luther college set because i love the sound of the songs in acoustic form... just dave and timmy,

All right, listening to you guys talk about Journey so much, I gave in to temptation. I just downloaded a bunch of them and am currently listening to a multitude of their stuff.

I forgot just how many songs of their's I liked.

Journey, now there was a band. Got to see them on tour once. Separate Ways was a musical inspiration! Their greatest hits compilation is one of the few that actually qualifies as a greatest hits collection.

RUSH a band with a lot of talent, but not in my cd book I dont care much for them. to me they sound like a bunch of guys taking turns doing solo's and making a song out of it.

    Carolyn's Mother

I think they are a local band, I've seen them at Herman's a couple of times.

Never cared for Rush myself either, but I have this friend who acted as though they were part of the second coming when we were in school. In fact his wife has banished his playing of Rush to his office, because he is so rabid about it.
