toss up between For Your Eyes Only and Living Daylights.

Mr. Bell & Mr. Doyle was pretty good.

Play Dirty was nice and grim, with a great ending.

Taking of Pellam 123 (remake was pretty good, but the original (which I saw afterward) was much much better).

I saw Sherlock 2: Game of Shadows yesterday and thought "surely nothing could top this!" and then I saw M:I Ghost Protocol this morning and realized I had been wrong. Those were definitely two of the funnest movies I saw all year.

Well, I just watched Bernard and the Genie again.
Not the best movie, but certainly the best Christmas movie of all time.

i watched "hesher" last night. i don't think i'd put it in the best films i saw this year, but it was definitely interesting and not what i was expecting at all. i thought it would be sort of a typical stoner comedy type deal, and it turned out to be a messed up modern spin on mary poppins. natalie portman was typically mediocre, but joseph gordon-levitt was excellent. he's become an actor who's kind of hard not to like.

i just saw the film TIKKA TIKKA TIKKA TIKKA starring john hurts, gary oldman, colin firth, bane, that guy from infamous, and that ugly guy with the face. i didn't entirely understand what was going on but i gleaned that if you are gay, you are likely to be or become a traitor to your country. unless you are a very young dandy. "hanging on in quiet desperation is the english way" in film form. speaking of pf, if it were an album of theirs it would be the final cut (for tonal reasons, not thematic ones).

Haven't been to that many movies in the past 12 months but I gotta say Sherlock Holmes 2 was pretty good, better than I was expecting. Can't wait for the 3rd one in fact.

Hard to decide between "Lord of War" and "Men Who Stare at Goats."

Ugh I saw that last month, also wouldn't call it one of the best films of the year but it was definitely awesome. I haven't laughed in at a movie as much as that one in a long time.

I've seen two films in the cinema this year.

    M:I4 and The Artist.

    Obviously, there's only one winner.

I rather liked Adjustment Bureau and Captain America. Might be more, can't think of them off the top of my head though.

if by saw you mean in theater, and by this year you mean 2011, then it would be Sherlock Holmes 2 game of shadows. then again that's the only movie i saw in theater that year. i don't even see a movie once each year in theater. not that many good movies.

    The Artist.
First time in 10 years I actually felt I got my money's worth out of going to the cinema.
