    A New Hope?

    The Phantom Menace?

    Attack of the Clones?

Personally, I'd have to go with AOTC. The editing was nearly perfect, the drama unfolded at a steady pace, and the thematic layers scattered all over the film are proof that Lucas is still on top of his game.

A New Hope - it flowed alot better than Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones in my opinion...

Attack of the clones, i loved this movie. The Shadows, the cinematography, the camera angles, the use of symbols and great visuals. It was great to see george do some avant garde type stuff in the droid factory sequence. it was really like a tone poem. It was great to see that, i loved it

    ANH for sure.

In it's day, it was one of the most innovative films in terms of story and technological innovation....everyone knows about driving the camera past the ping-pong tables covered with model battleship parts to get the footage of the Death Star attack run, for instance.

    :)

A New Hope by a mile. Nothing against the prequels but ANH was so innovative and it was a type of film that was new to people.

ANH, it's just classic. It was made to be stand-alone movie so you can watch it without any of the other ones just fine. I'll never get sick of that movie.

AOTC. ANH was revolutionary but AOTC was a better movie IMO.

    ANH.
I think the direction is better in AOTC, but ANH was revolutionary in the things it was trying to achieve.

    ANH, easily.

Although I might have to consider AotC for my answer if it weren't for the terrible music editing in the arena/Geonosis battle. Sigh...

glad to see that even among those who like the PT, this question is a relative no-brainer.
