Looking through numerous posts and assuming the timing is based in America, I'm trying to work out when the busiest and best time to post on this board is, the main reason is that whenever I come on there's no one else around, am I one of a very few based in the UK? I assume the majority are based in America, though have noticed there are a number of Australians posting too.

I think it is busiest when there is something decent to discuss.

[face_laugh] Lol, that would make sense...

Definitely 6:00-10:00PM, eastern time. The boards are populated with Americans mostly, and our work day/school day ends at about 6:00-ish.

Eastern Time, I mean what is that really? These boards should run on GMT!

What is the time difference between GMT and 'Eastern Time'?

Jai, it depends if they meant Greenwich Mean Time, or General Mountain Time. General Mountain time is 2 hours behind Eastern.

Pacific time folks. I'm EST and my posts always read four hours ago after I've posted them. TF.N is located in California.

How long is Aust before or after American GMT? About six or seven hours ahead, isn't it? Not sure.

Aussies pop up like alcoholic flowers when these boards read post-midnight.

No, try something more like 16 hours. US EST is roughly 12:00 am (US time) to 4:00 pm the next day (Aussie time) so you can figure it out from there.

General Mountain Time!?!? I hope you are joking, that's the stupidest name ever. have people just decided to invent timezones to suit themselves?

General Mountain Time? That's a new one. I've always heard the four main time zones in the US to be Eastern Standard (or East Coast) Time, Central Standard Time, Mountain Standard (or Rocky Mountain) Time, and Pacific Standard (or West Coast) Time.
