What's the new background color?

It doesn't seem to be light or dark grey. Anyone know?

Anyone else change theirs to reflect the new color scheme?

 

Nevermind, it is light gray.

 

actually i think it's medium grey, i changed mine to light grey but it's not quite right.

only problem is that we don't have medium grey in our color options.

 

Light gray works the best. My name has a light gray background and you can't really see it against the boards.

 

actually, i can see it but just barely. and when i look at my WUL your's is ever so slightly different from the rest.

it's really not a big deal though

 

I'm just happy to be able to see my name in the header bar.

 

yeah, that is kind of cool but i went back to transparent because i don't think it's really necessary. if i'm logged in as a sock or my wife's still logged in i'll know it because it will have a background.

 

I think we've taken a step backwards here.

I still can't clearly see my name in the header bar, there's no contrast between the greys and there's absolutely no distinction between the boards on the main page other than the colour of the last post.

It's really stupid if you ask me.

Not to mention depressing.

 

People didn't like the first one that they switched Communications to. I liked it. It looks like we'll be using it in here though?

 

I've got a similar sort of colour scheme in the BB one - not quite as bright, but with the same colours.

I know. That last scheme made me depressed everytime I came here.

Another thing is that members have this fascination with only mods having highlighted names. I don't know why, we used to have highlighted names for everyone, and it seemed that it worked just fine.

 

Yeah, I remember we had it in FanForce a lot as well. I wouldn't be surprised if there were still FF forums with highlited names - it was just like that when we came here and nobody seemed to have a problem with it.

 

It seems to be the biggest contention in Communications at the moment.

I've highlighted my name to go along with everyone elses, and I haven't been contacted once to lock a thread. So, I don't see it as a problem.

We definitely need a lighter, brighter scheme to help out the mood of these boards. They should look at some of the FanForce boards and steal their scheme. Some of them are really nice.

 

Heh. I just got asked to help sort out a banning situation, but I think that's cause they just remember me as a mod.

There's nothing wrong with adding a bit of colour back here.

How about purple and canary yellow? That should dizzy a few heads.
