What's the protocol for when family members hand you large, unidentified wads of cash?

I normally thank the benefactor warmly but immediately and discreetly stick the cash in my wallet or pocket to be counted later.

 

Thanks to my job, I'm no longer fazed by wads of cash.

I'd ask for more (subtly, of course, like rubbing your fingers together expectantly).

It's always awkward when I get my g-strings dry cleaned.

 

Take them off, then.

 

Say something along the lines of "Oh, you didn't have to" and pocket it.
