I'm in a horror movie mood at the moment, and so I'm curious; what films strike terror into the hearts of the posters of the London board?

    The Exorcist?
    The Blair With Project?
    The Ring(or Ringu)?
    Alien?
Night Of The Living Dead maybe?

I'm not easily scared, the only film to actually scare me is an amateur film made by some people in my town... it was called Väntan (sort of Waiting, hard to translate) and it was the story of some guy who lost his wife and stalks this young girl 'cause she looks just like his dead wife... itäs just a short film, but very well made, and the scariest part is when the man looks in through a window at the unsuspecting girl... really really scary.

But of course... none of you have seen the movie, so I guess I have to say something about something for famous... ;)

Alien is truly scary, although I'm not you know, really scared by it. But I truly love the haunting music, and the wonderful parts with no music at all... it uses music so well and it makes the film so much scarier... I love it. [face_love]

Films like Nightmare on Elm Street aren't horror. It's comedy. But I like them too. :D

Crikey, I think I'll have to come back to this, it's a hard one to answer. Although none of the films you mentioned are particularly scary imo. :p

    Psycho!

Colour remake or original black and white?

By complete coincidence the sci-fi/fantasy magazine SFX has released a special issue all about the scariest horror movies, and you get given a full proper copy of Dracula with it!]

That film sounds funky Enji, and reminds me of a scary story I heard ages ago!

And it doesn't have to exactly be a horror film that scares you the most guys, some people get scared in Disney movies!

Hannibal. My evil friends made me watch it at a sleepover. My revenge was to inflict that awful Ralph Bakshi Lord of the Rings cartoon on them - this one.

The Care Bears Movie. I kid you not.

Followed by Snow White, the Disney cartoon verison, I asked to be taken out of the cinema.

Let me also point out that I was less than five when I saw these movies. I hardly think Snow White is little people friendly viewing!

And don't get me started on the Care Bears Movie! EVIL DEMONIC SOUL EATING BOOK OF DOOM?! C'mon! How is THAT friendly! Sheesh!

I don't like to be scared, I like movies that make me happy, not scare the life outta me!

The one where Yosh is disco dancing in drag. I didn't sleep for a week after that one. [face_sick] :_|

    um.......oooooookay!

My friend had to go to the toilet and he was SO freaked out that we all had to go with him!

Get him to watch a Japanese horror film by the name of
Dark Water and he might not want to go near a bathroom again! It's made by the same guy who made the RING films and it's pretty good(it's also up for an American remake)! It's about this divocee and her daughter, who she is fighting for custordy over, and they move into this apartment! It's fine except for the strange damp patches everywhere......oh, and the mysterious appearence of a child's bag(that has a cartoon bunny on it of all things), long dark hair coming out of the taps and the presence of a little girl wearing a yellow rain coat!

I'm annoyed. Many years ago, I saw this horror film about a witch, and to this day it still the scariest film I've ever seen. The only thing is, I can't for the life of me remember what it was called!! And no, I don't mean that pile of pants Blair Witch project lol
