Personnaly, I think Evil Plans was a pretty bad episode. Droids going to a spa... ?????
C3P0's Modern Life...
That scene at the end of Evil Plans, of the fruit being placed on the top of the cake and all the rabbit droids dancing around crying, "Yay!!" still cracks me up with how ridiculously cheesy it is.
It's like cheap, nasty cheese slices being placed on the worst, most nauseating food imaginable.
The depressing part about that is that it was just like decorations and nothing really important to the cake.
Ah, but it was essential. If Padme didn't have that specific fruit on the top of her cake, then her meeting with the Roonan senator would have collapsed!
Blood and horror! Fire and brimstone!
OH THE HORRROOOOOORRRR... No fruit on the cake and society crumbles. TO THE LIFE BOATS!!
Nah, Padme would have just made a tear-filled, emotional plee in front of the entire Senate about the lack of available Jogan fruit on Coruscant. And it would take up an entire episode.
I'm actually not sure if that would have been better or worse.
Bombad Jedi... When I saw it I thought I was watching a kiddy cartoon (or was I?)
The Water Arc... just dumb. As someone else said, Little Mermaid with guns.
Senate Murders... just sad....
and what about that one where Padme gives that speech about banking regulation where all that overly dramatic epic music plays? Yeah, cant remember the name but that was like the saddest episode ever
oh and the episode about tea... Actually I was ok with that but looking back on it its kinda dumb
And I hate most the episodes with Lux, minus 3/4 of the ones in Onderon.
and any senate episode besides the one at the end of season 1 was totally retarded....
And the episode with R2 3CPO and the teletubies... was kinda bad... But at least the clone said
"OH, looks like its gonna be another one of THOSE planets again".
It was sad.
If it had just got the details of Padme's political evolution right and if it had just given Padme an issue to campaign against that actually made sense (funding for a new superweapon's construction, which would be opposed for the same reasons given in the episode itself; the relaxation of anti-slavery regulations to justify use of the clone army, with Padme opposing this with a counter-proposal of full citizenship for all clone troopers; et cetera...), then it would have been the best episode of the series.
But like you said, it was sad that they didn't get it right.
I'm actually a fan of Pursuit of Peace, but those ideas all would have been much better. Nice!
Thumbs up to the dude who appreciates the need for moar politics!
It was the saddest episode ever because Teckla's kids had not been able to take a bath for two weeks! Such smelly children! Oh, the injustice! Oh, the humanity!
WORST for sure....
Teckla needs to die in a ditch!
By the looks of the trailer, Teckla might be killed off
Yes, Dan. You may yet get your dead Teckla, though probably not in a ditch.
And yet Padme was probably bathing in the SW equiv of a SilverTAG Shower.
Thanks for the reassurance and comforting words guys. I hope so. I connect her to one of the bad episodes of S3.
Death to Teckla!
Yeah, that tends to be why many of the episodes on the lower end of my opinion don't get the "worst" label. Lightsaber Lost had Tera. I enjoyed Bane in Evil Plans. The Zillo beast at least looked cool. etc etc.
I do like all the things you mention there about those episode MistrX. None of those episodes got before a 6 from me. I just look back on the lamer aspects in the spirit of the thread.
Zillo Beast is excellence from Season Two.
The Zillo Beast duology was great; I really dug the Godzilla and King Kong references.
I third the Zillobeast duology, I really like the 2nd episode. Thats another TCW episode that gives me feels. The cartoon "Boing!" sound effect with R2's tether drives me nuts everytime I hear it however.
That actually sounds kinda awesome.
Teckla is hot.
For a cartoon, of course.
