    Bib Fortuna, Twi'lek

Greedo didn't miss; he fired at the wall to try and intimidate Han.

Which explains why the Stormtroopers never hit anything; they were just trying to intimidate the rebels!

    It all makes sense now!!!!

I know this was meant to be a humorous thread, but I'll ask that those who only want to make snide remarks not post.

I know Dark Lady Mara intends to be helpful, but I'll have to ask that she please not worry about if there are snide remarks or not. ;)

Seriously, what's wrong with what I said earlier? No one could miss from that distance, so the most logical conclusion is that Greedo wasn't trying to hit Han, but rather to intimidate him into giving Jabba the money.

But Greedo is told by Han that he doesn't have the money with him. So Greedo is down to his last option -- kill Han. He even says he is looking forward to killing Han right before he pulls the trigger.

    It's a bad scene.

Sorry, but it's not okay to break rules in a thread just because the author doesn't mind.

I agree. I think Jabba would benefit more from teaching a lesson to the smugglers working for him than getting that particular payment. There are plenty of other guys like Han out there.

I bet if Lucas would have done the reverse thing like if ANH 1977 have had Greedo shoot first and if Lucas changed that for the ANHSE having Greedo not shoot at all, people would be complaining that Han Solo is a murderer and he shot Greedo for no reason. The scene in ANHSE does look kind of cheesy. I don't really care about Greedo shooting first but I wish the scene looked better.
