CT What's your favorite little moment or detail in CT?

^ Loosing a Star Destroyer with all hands means nothing next to the powers of the Force...

 

My favorite is in ESB-In the carbon freezing scene when Han and Leia look at each other as Boba Fett and Vader are talking.

 

a few things:
i always loved the exchange of looks between lando and lobot at the end of the carbon freezing scene
"take evasive action!"
the shot of the falcon being pulled into the death star as the score builds up

 

A new hope -- tarkin refusing to leave the Death Star

ESB -- boba felt pursuing the falcon to bespin

Rotj -- vader looking at Luke's light saber after sending him to the emperor

 

Jabba's Palace scene in Return of the Jedi. From the original films. I felt the Special Editions made it seem more like watching a cartoon.

 

I'd say top moments (if I had to pick just a few) out of the whole trilogy for me are these:

Those sequences are very powerful and compelling moments for me in the OT, for different reasons...

 

My favourite little moment? The bounty hunters in TESB.

 

I like that one a lot too. It really expands our impression of the SW universe in an interesting way. (At least it did at the time, since we only had ANH to that point.) I'd love to see something like that in the ST, where the First Order is utilizing other methods besides just their turbolasers to seek out and defeat their enemies. We got something like that briefly in Maz's castle in TFA I suppose-and on Han's freighter (which was one of my favorite scenes in the movie).

 

Every time I rewatch SW, I somewhat tear up when I hear "Luke? Luke?" from Beru, because that's when we know the saga is underway.

"Luke! Don't go in there!!! It's a trap!!!". The emotion in Leia's voice is unmatched in any post 83 films. Just awesome.

The moment between father and son in ROTJ is cute as hell. You can tell Darth is over the moon to spend just those few minutes with his boy.

 

This is a good one. No doubt aided by a great musical cue.

 

Leia/Han's interactions in ROTJ. I love that Leia saves her lover from his captors and how they treat each other here. Sure, it's not as "entertaining" when comparing it to bickering but the intimacy was definitely needed.

 

The way Ackbar just kind of melts into his chair in relief when the super Star Destroyer goes down.

 

I am a big fan of the cantina scene in ANH. Our first glimpse of what the universe has to offer.

 

And how Lobot’s eyes move in sync with the score.
