CT What's your favorite little moment or detail in CT?

ANH The banter between Tarkin and Vader. Tarkin's look of bewilderment after Vader mentions Obi Wan is still alive. (Made better by Anakin and Tarkin's relationship in TCW its like Tarkin is Vader's friend not just some random officer he will throat hug.)
The tension after the turrets stop firing in the trench to avoid friendly fire Biggs looks around nervously as if aware that means Vader and his wing men are closing in, Wedge also gives a more subtle but still frightened quick glance.

ESB Just about every scene between imperials on the Executor or any other ISD.
The roaring wind in the huge Bespin maintenance area. (Has a very eerie "employees only" feel to it.)

ROTJ The way the Emperor just flicks his finger to undo Luke's handcuffs. The way Palpatine's lightning is nothing to him. Whereas Dooku took a lot more focus and energy to use lighting its easy for Palpatine.

The line "Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design."

 

I love every little detail put into the ewoks. I love how they all look unique.

 

I liked that they took a few moments in the hangar at Yavin to show the ground crews disconnecting the external power cords and signaling the pilots to take off. That was my job in the US Air Force for a few years.

 

In ROTJ, I love when that ewoks says or at least seems to say "that guys wise" to C-3PO.

 

4:16-4:19. The sting of music as Luke clings onto the railing where we get a fantastic view of the Cloud City Core.

One of R2's cutest moments! The visual of him standing on "tip-toe" to peer into the hut is made even better with his little "vocalization"...cute overload!!!

 

Episode IV

Dusk on Tatooine with the sandcrawler. Despite being filmed in Tunisia, these scenes evoke a 1970s futurist look of Southern California's Death Valley. I have both driven and walked those highways at night and there's something rather special about it's starry nowhere-ness caught in between the major cities of east and west. Star Wars was in some ways a kind of California movie.

Leia's Boushh disguise; the helmet and its cool voice modulator.

 

Love the sparks from the ESB pictures Ingram_I.

Also love seeing Star Destroyers at the start of every movie.

 

When we see the sandcrawler and a Jawa yells something in Jawaese is one of my favorites.

 

One thing I noticed not to long ago, is in ESB when Han is being tortured you can still hear his screams when Lando is talking to Vader.

 

I love the sequence when Luke heads to the scorched homestead to be in grief and anger as it transitions to the Death Star I with its motif.

One of the best moments in the franchise.

 

Luke looking at the 2 Suns with the powerful music. Always brings a tear to my eye.

 

I love C-3PO's style of story telling in ROTJ.

 

The various array of Imperials who appear throughout the trilogy: Daine Jir, Hewex, Veers, Needa, Ozzel, Piett, Pol Treidum, Shann Childsen, Bolvan, Hija, Renz, Sheckil, Bast and Dyer.

 

When Bossk says "Res Luk Ra'auf."

 

I used to think he was saying: "Let's look alive" to the Imperial officers.

 

After Han says "who's scruffy looking", R2 beeps which sounds like his version of "wow".

 

When Bossk curls his toes on the deck of the Executor.

 

Lobot's quiet efficiency.

 

Lando's introduction.

 

Sheev's guards. How they precede him down the ramp and how they're dismissed when Luke arrives.

 

Love that second song two, it sounds like something you could swingndance to.

 

When R2 opens the door on Cloud City and the characters can get to the Falcon in ESB. So much win.
