What's your favorite PT duel?

No option for just Obi-Wan vs Maul?

 

I absolutely love Episode 1's entire duel of Obi-Wan/Jinn Vs. Maul.

The music during that fight is amazing!!

 

Obiwan verses Anikan gets my vote, although Episode 1's Obiwan and Qui-Gon verses Maul is a close second.

 

I voted for Obi-Wan Vs Anakin,though Duel of the Fates (including Obi-Wan vs Maul) runs a really close second.

 

I would've voted for Obi-Wan versus Maul if there was an option, but I chose Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon vs. Maul.

 

I would have to chose the Obi-Wan vs. Anakin Duel in ROTS.

It's the emotional action climax of the whole PT. All the fights/duel before it IMO have set this one up.

10. Obi vs. Maul (TPM)

11. Yoda vs. Dooku (AOTC)

12. Anakin vs. Dooku (AOTC)

13. Qui-Gon vs. Maul (TPM)

14. Obi vs. Jango (AOTC)

15. Mace vs. Jango (AOTC)

16. Obi vs. Dooku (AOTC)

17. Luke vs. Vader (on Degobah) (ESB)


Grading them by current favorates, not quality.. in fact I love all of the fights in Star Wars... It wouldn't be what it is without them.

 

TPM: Qui-Gon & Obi-Wan vs. Darth Maul

No votes for Attack of the Clones. Why? Because it seems everyone realises how poorly edited and short the fights with Dooku were.

 

True. All you see are their faces and flashing lights. And when Dukoo cuts off Anikan's hand, you can clearly see that he is just standing there. That whole duel just looks like a "can't-be-bothered-doing-this-properly"

 

Or maybe, since we can only vote for one option, someone who really quite liked the AOTC duel(s) may have just slightly liked another duel better...?

Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan vs. Maul ? first and foremost, the choreography of the swordplay was excellent. The duel succeeded in portraying the masterful skill of Jedi during their prime, and had a viable beginning, middle, and end that did well to maintain a sense of tension throughout. I really got the impression of a physical conflict between people with the duel from TPM, not an overload of CGI that diminished the emotional resonance of the combatants.

 

i took yoda vs. palps. noone really i mean really won that battle, palps just won by luck.

I think he won by overwhelming Yoda.

 

Battles of the Heroes easily. The emotion of the whole thing on top of a straight-up incredible sword fight= incredible.

 

I voted for Yoda vs. Dooku. It is the first time we see Yoda in action and how could you not like a 3 foot tall green guy spinning around making lightsaber fighting an art form? The fight didn't last long, but it still remains my favorite.

 

ROTS: Obi-Wan vs. Anakin probably followed by Obi-Wan,Qui-Gon,Maul duel

 

Mace Windu Vs. Palpatine, just because Mace Windu's my fav new hero character of the PT, and Palpls is my favorite villain of the series. And, seeing Palps take out the three jedi right before the duel was pretty cool, too.

 

I'm not bashing at all, I just like Obi-Wan vs Maul the best. But my vote goes to Qui-Gon and Maul, then.

Anakin vs. Obi-wan. That's the only duel I've ever really cared about in the PT.

 

Duel of fates in the Phantom meance and the Duel between Obi-wan and Anakin.

 

That's tough, I love Duel of Fates, but Battle of Heroes had meaning. Fates was more flash than substance.
