What's your favorite quote from the Prequel Trilogy?

Count Dooku has all of the best lines.

"Good. Twice the pride, double the fall."

"Your swords, please. We wouldn't want to make a mess of things in front of the Chancellor."

"Master Kenobi, you disappoint me. Yoda holds you in such high esteem. Surely you can do better!"

 

"Good job." Simplicity, with the meaning derived from the tone of voice, rather than the actual words. I use it the way Obi-Wan uses it all the freaking time.

 

That he does, I especially loved his quote about Yoda in Dark Rendezvous, it was probably one of the most amusing lines I've ever read.

Another good one:

"It is obvious that this contest cannot be decided by our knowledge of the Force, but by our skills with a lightsaber."

Palpatine's "The Sith and the Jedi are similar in almost every way, including their quest for greater power. The only difference between the two is that the Sith are not afraid of the dark side of the Force. That is why they are more powerful."

Watching Sidious say this to Anakin gives me chills every time.

You've said it! One of the best to even rival the OT lines, or even better!

 

"I wish I could just wish away my feelings."

...Makes me crack up EVERY time.

 

The prophetic, cautious, tragic prediction of Yoda:

"Fear is the path of the Dark Side. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering"

and following that up with "I sense much fear in you" which is the slam dunk of the prequels.

Who shall we blame?

 

So many great lines to choose from, but I'm going to pick 5 of my favorites:
"Hello There!" - Obi-Wan (so Alec Guinness-esque in its delivery, it's scary)
"So uncivilized" - Obi-Wan (great subtle reference to Obi-Wan's description of the Lightsaber as being an 'elegant weapon, from a more civilized age' in ANH; plus, it's just a funny line, coming just seconds after Obi-Wan's calmly and coolly fried Grievous from the inside out with a very un-Jedi-like weapon)
"What, you think you're some kind of Jedi, waving your hand around like that? I'm a Toydarian. Mind tricks don't work on me. Only money... no money, no parts, no deal!" - Watto (Watto is one of my favorite characters from the entire Saga, and this speech is one of the primary reasons)
"This is getting out of hand... NOW there are two of them!" - Nute Gunray (what, you've never heard of the 'Rule of Two' before? So funny)
"I killed them. All of them. Not just the men, but the women and the children too. I hate them!!!" - Anakin Skywalker (people like to rag on Hayden Christensen's acting, but I'm one of those who loves his performance in both AotC and RotS. The sequence from which these lines come from is, IMO, one of the most poignant and powerful in the entire saga, and really shows just how tragic Anakin's eventual fall is; he's a good man who's done a very terrible thing, and he doesn't know how to deal with the internal conflict of knowing that what he's done is wrong and yet at the same time having a legitimate reason for losing control)

 

I find myself using Dooku's "I've been looking forward to this" quite frequently.

I sometimes use Qui-Gon's "there's always a bigger fish", "another opportunity will present itself", Palpatine's "we must move quickly", and Watto's "deal!"

I will be the most powerful jedi ever, i promise you!

 

It's hard to say, though many criticize the writing and dialogue of the PT, and it is truely less than stellar in some cases, it does contain many powerful lines. Some of my favorites being:

"One day, I will be the most powerful Jedi ever, I promise you."- Anakin Skywalker, AOTC.

"I can feel your anger, it gives you focus. Makes you stronger."- Darth Sidious, ROTS.

"Atlast we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi... atlast we will have revenge."- Darth Maul, TPM.

"I will sign no treaty, Senator. My fate will be no different from that of my people."- Queen Amidala, TPM.

"I hate you!" -Darth Vader, ROTS.

"Why do I have the feeling you're going to be the death of me?"- Obi Wan, AOTC.

Just to name a few.

I think that speaks to me as the way Jedi should be. He didn't tell the guy to quit his evil ways; he just told him to rethink them... Very cool.

I always got a kick out of the line :

JAR JAR : Gungans do die'n without a fight.... wesa warriors.

They die without fighting, so that makes them warriors.

You dont really catch it while watching the movie, but only later reading the script.

 

I like Anakins " I Hate You" line at the end of episode III and pretty much everything that Palps says in that movie is brilliant.
