Revenge of the Sith was also pretty fun, especially the lightsabre duelling component.
I'm joking, not joking. It was bad. But at 3, it was THE BEST GAME EVAH simply because it had pictures of all my favorite movie characters and vehicles shamelessly slapped on. I'd walk around with this under my arm begging anybody to play yet another game because clearly I'd never tire of it. It has Chewie and the Trash Compactor.
That probably describes my 80s, 90s and 00s fascination with Star Wars video games as well. A game skinned with SW stuff. I mean, I'm flying a TIE / X-Wing, using a lightsaber, using the force. The story is kinda bad ... did I mention I can boomerang the lightsaber? Kinda sad it took me decades to lose the easy sell fascination of SW games. Who am I kidding. It is practically the equivalent of an opium den.
Well if we are including Tabletop Games I gotta go with the Edge of the Empire/Age of Rebellion/Force and Destiny rpgs. I love rpgs.
For video games it would have to be TIE Fighter with Rebellion being close behind.
The Lego Star Wars games are so much fun. My favorite would be the Complete Saga for the Wii.
I loved the Episode I game as a kid. I even re bought it six months ago but have yet to have any luck getting it to run.
Can't go past Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight. The first game that ever engrossed me to the true extent of the word's meaning.
Really loved Empire at War. Have always been a fan of games like that and having one in Star Wars where I can do space combat was a blast. Really hope they come out with something similar. SOON.
OG Battlefront 2, TFU1, Lego Star Wars complete trilogy.
Hmm, so I'm going through Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and the thought occurred to me...is this the first time we've been able to explore the inside of the Millennium Falcon in a video game?
Finally decided on my top 5 at least.
1. Knights of the Old Republic
2. Republic Commando
3. Original Battlefront
4. Empire at War
5. Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga
X-Wing is my favorite. It came at a good time for me and hit all the right notes at the time. I'm getting curious about giving X-Wing Alliance a try too, though...
FAVORITE: Knights of the Old Republic
RUNNER-UP: Battlefront II
As far as console games go it's probably either Rogue Squadron on N64 or KOTOR and honorable mention to Obi-Wan on XBOX.
Here's an interesting concept that never made it to the publishing floor. It's pretty obvious that EA took the idea from at least the visuals in this game towards BF's Starfighter missions.
Has to be KOTOR. Runners up include Dark Forces II, KOTOR II, X-Wing Alliance and Battlefront (2015).
Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
Rogue Squadron 3D
Glad to see that Knights Of The Old Republic (also my choice) has the highest percentage. It is such a good game, even now.
Jedi Power Battles
Obligatory mention of Galactic Battlegrounds, it was basically Age of Empires: Star Wars and you could spend lifetimes in that game.
Star Wars Battlefront 1 - the ORIGINAL. Epic game
Rogue Squadron on n64 was good too
The original Star Wars Battlefront 2. Followed by the original Star Wars Battlefront 1.
I still have that game. It was actually my oldest brother's but I didn't know we had it until I was like 11 or 12 in the early 90s. By then it was just me and my other older brother in the house and he wouldn't play it with me. I got a friend to actually play it with me once and it's gone unused ever since.
Out of the ones listed in the poll, I'd have to say Dark Forces II, but it's the only one of these I've played.
My all time favourites are Tie Fighter, X-wing and x-wing alliance. I always wished for a similar space combat game that would also allow you to command capital ships as well as starfighters, but alas, it was not to be..
The force unleashed 1 and 2. Haven't played KOTOR yet doubt I will unless you can play it on the new windows software.
