I think the typical "Rural" "Suburban" "Urban" kind of poll is too simplistic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transect_(urban) More detailed illustration of the transect.
Somewhere between General Urban-Urban Core... ie: whatever description fits for the San Fernando Valley.
i would settle right on the line between two and three, so that i may have easy access to both country and city living, without having to live with the horrors of either.
I guess Urban Center would best fit, though maybe General Urban. I like the atmosphere of a large city, but I also like houses so...
I like the amenities of a large city without the noise, the noise, the noise noise noise noise (cue the Grinch here). I'm a little too "in the city" now and would like to move outward some, and the Charlotte metro area has about a million people so it's not exactly LA . But I grew up in a small town and don't like the limited options there, so yeah...somewhere in the middle.
I actually like all parts of the rural-to-urban spectrum each in their own way. But when it comes to where I'd live, my ideal setting is somewhere around T4 or 5.
I've lived in Los Angeles for two years, and in a month I'm moving to a town in Arizona with 3,000 people. So I'm about to find out!
How confusing. The business district is the most urban zone? So business is urban. I smell an anti-tie conspiracy.
