Seems strange but I can't recall C3PO or R2D2 having time to travel if they start out on Tatooine together and stick with Anakin untill Ep3. Not really any time for Mungo Baobab to find the Roon Stones.

Unless Lucas greenlighted Droids without knowing he was making prequels where Anakin created C3PO.

    EDIT-spoiler removed

The Star Wars prequels do throw the Droids series out of whack.

The Droids series took place probably 10 or 20 years or so before ANH.

I think the DVD says 15 years before ANH, but the series itself spans a little further back I think.

Really? That whoe series is hard to place..mostly because of the presence of the A-wings in the four episodes I have on DVD.

Jabba the Hutt is also mentioned in the series, and Boba Fett is actually seen! I think it's 10 years before ANH.

There's even a lightsaber in one episode. I like to think maybe it was Qui-Gon's.

    >>mostly because of the presence of the A-wings<<

Those were retconned as being earlier model craft the real A-Wings were inspired from/took their namesakes from. (the ones in the droids cartoon are R-22 Spearheads, which took on the nickname "A-Wings".)
