When did you become a SW fan?

I was 5 i was 1997 and the special editions just came out and my mom got them for my dad for his birthday.

I saw ANH in its original release (19 at the time, so yes, I'm old). Loved the crawl, loved the first space ship -- but when that star destroyer kept going on and on (and on and on), I was a goner. Been a nerd/geek ever since.

 

I was born a fan, the first time I saw ANH, was at christmas 1978, aged 4. And live the life as a Padawan Learner, believing in the Force and the Way of a Jedi.

 

When I first saw ESB in TV about 10 or 12 years ago, I was nearly instantly intrigued by story and action (and humor).

The first time I saw ANH in late 1995-early 1996

 

I voted (Seeing ANH) due to it being the earliest choice available on the list, but I have been a STAR WARS Fan since before the first time I saw STAR WARS in a theatre in 1977.

 

I answered ESB because I was born in 1980.

 

1996 then I loved the ESB. Shadows of the Empire has always been my Favorite and still is as a Star Wars story.

 

I said the S.E. but I actually became a Fan about siz months before they came out.

I voted for the ANH, for this was my first SW movie. I watched it in 1993 when I was only 4 years old for the first time and I am a fan ever since.
Of course, more I grew older, more I liked Star Wars.

 

When I saw RotJ. Of course, I didn't see it at the time of the original release, but just the first time that I saw it.

 

1977 ANH, when I was 10. My Dad took me to the theatre to see it since the television ads looked so cool.

Need to go to the bathroom during the scene when R2-D2 was zapped by the Jawas and taken. After seeing it later on tape or tv (can't remember now), wondered when they put that new part in.

 

After seeing TPM. I knew that I was in love for life.

 

When I saw ESB on TV at the age of 4 (I think). I bought the tapes soon after. I've always loved the movies.

But the EU made me a huge fan. I doubt I would be on this board if not for the EU.

I voted ESB though.

 

I've always like SW, ever since seeing ROTJ when I was only knee high. But I've chosen TPM for this poll, without the prequels I wouldn't be as "into it" as I am now.

 

I actually got a SW figure before I saw the films.
It was Ree-Yees. I didn't know who it was at the time, I must have been about five years old. I then saw the original New Hope (just called Star wars then).
I was then became a Star wars fan and collector

 

I became a fan about 2 years before the SEs watching the OT on tape

 

When i saw ESB on tv when i was about 7, didnt really understand it but man did i love it.

 

ANH - original edition VHS when I was about 7 or so. Got a stormtrooper blaster that day...coolest feeling in the world.

 

SE's in '97. I missed out on a lot.

 

When I was alittle tyke and watched Star Wars A New Hope for the first time.

 

I became a fan after seeing TPM. I actually liked it, and then wanted to see the classic trilogy. I ended up liking those more, especially ESB. Judging by the storyline, I think that Revenge of the Sith will be my favorite.
