When did you become a SW fan?

I saw the movies when I was maybe third grade and I really liked them, but I wasn't what you'd call a "Star Wars Geek" until I read the EU.

 

I was pretty much BORN into loving Star Wars thanks to my older sister! Bless her! (But don't tell her I said that! ) I can't even recall how young I was when I first saw ANH...

 

After seeing ANH time after time many of years ago

 

when i went to see ESB with my uncle at the movies i became hooked for life

 

RotJ, my favorite movie, was one of the first movies I ever saw

 

I would have to say, after the Special Editions. I wasn't born until after ANH, so I was too young to appreciate the original release. I remember seeing them all as a kid -- my brother had a lot of SW toys. But, it was the SE that re-energized me as a die-hard fan.

 

Well actually it was when they came out on video(the special edition)

 

I became a fan when I saw ANH when I was 14

Fan since 1991. Saw Sw in tv got hooked!

Although I do recall seeing ROTJ back sometime in the 80s as a little kid (the only scene I can remember from then was when Lando was being pulled into the Sarlaac pit) the first major opportunity for me to see the films and become a fan was back in 1993 when I watched them all at a friends house.

So I voted When post 1991 EU began even though it wasn't the EU that got me into SW.

 

When I saw TPM.Then after that I saw the old movies and they were even better!Can't wait for AOTC!

I became a fan in the Summer of '77. I was 11. I saw it twice at a theater and once at a drive-in. I had to beg my parents to take me each time.

I was totally in love with Princess Leia. I can't tell you how many times I imagined rescuing her from the Death Star and living happily ever after!

 

I liked Star wars when I was about 10 but I became a Hard-Core Fan after Seeing TPM.

 

After reading the TPM novelisation.

 

Geez.. I was far too little to remember..

 

I saw ANH then I became interested in it

 

I saw ANH when I was very young (probably around 3) and was hooked.

 

ANH, I remember gettting up on the weekend and watching it when i was little

 

Watching ESB on TV as a very young kid. First time I stayed up til 2300. I was so proud.

When TPM came out, i was 13. Late comer, but i didnt get the chance to watch the special editions in the cinema, if i had i would have become a fan then (blame my parents)

 

i don't remember it's like i've always been a star wars fan

 

I voted "when the SE came out", because I'd never seriously watched Star Wars before they were out, but I first got interested in SW when I saw part of ESB on TV in Austria... Yup, the first time I heard "No, I am your father" it was in German. I understood that much, but Yoda in German was impossible.
