ST When do you think we will get our first official Episode 8 pic?

i'm sitting here wondering and waiting to see lukes new costume from episode 8 so i decided to make a thread so the members could share their predictions as to when lucas film will provide us with the first official pic from episode 8?

i'm guessing march 2017 followed by the trailer in april 2017.

when do you guys think?

I don't think it would be until after R1 comes out, they don't want to create confusion between them. And then I don't really know. Maybe summer 2017? I don't think we'll get much more in the way of official pictures than we did for TFA.

What do you want them to say? It should be as general as possible.
So something like:
Sometime in 2016
Early 2017 (Jan-March)
Spring 2017 (April-June)
Later in 2017

might be lucky and get something unconsequential early may.

 

i highly doubt it will be episode 8 related tho!

 

You never know we might get a puppet or something or Rian posting an image without any relevance. If it does happen it will be nothing important at all. So I think there is an outside chance but very unlikely

 

i have a hard time thinking we will get anything episode 8 related this year but once the rogue one hype is gone then full stream ahead!

Star Wars Celebration 2016.

 

I voted for some time this year...but watch it be more of Luke and Rey staring at each other on Ach-To

 

They're going to release the script, concept art, on set photos and a rough edit of the soundtrack. Oh and the cast will be doing an online Q&A next week.

 

I'd love something on May 4th, and I wouldn't put it past them... But Celebration 2016 is a bit more likely.

 

I think that they'll show off something small this year at either Celebration or SDCC.

 

i really do hope so but it will overshadow tongue one in my opinion.

 

Celebration is my guess.

 

I say this summer during Rogue One. They will probably give us a glimpse of it.

If we were guessing time of the first trailer, that would be easy. After Rogue One's theatrical run, probably a few days after it's release on DVD/BR (like they did with the RO teaser coming right after the TFA release). First picture, though? They may give us fans a little something this year, maybe at celebration. Since that has a die-hard fans there anyway, it shouldn't cause much confusion or mess up the marketing.
