Pick a day that is best for you, I will go by the most popular one to try to get the most people there. We will most likely see a movie (Hellboy?) and get together for some food afterwards to talk about WonderCon, Unity, and other fun stuff!

The 3rd might be tough with the crowds but I say lets go for it!

Also for a meeting down the road we could do something different....like: (keep in mind I'm just throwing stuff out there)

    Go to....

    a murder msytery diner theater.

    Zoo.

    Chuckie Cheese.

    Paint Ball fight.

    Mini-Golf (Rebels Vs 501st)

attend a state assembly meeting and yell odd things till we get ejected. (this works with any town council meetings just as well)

    Pool Party.

    Video Game Tourney.

and so on and so on.

    just throwing stuff out there.

Ooo...those are some good ideas. Maybe a pool party this summer? That is, if anyone has a pool or a pool table, or a deadpool. ;)

We are Rogues, random is what we do best. ;)

Geek movies are meant to be seen opening weekend.

All of Poolio's ideas sound groovy to me. I haven't played Paintball in ages, and am probably not up to it yet, but I'd love to do that one eventually.

Went ahead and voted. Like I said, I'm going to need to have time to notify my job that I need said day off. Example: If we do the 10th of April, I need to let them know by March 30th. Our schedules go from Sunday to Saturday, and my job requires you request a day off the tuesday prior to the schedule week the day falls in.

I may be able to trade of a shift on short notice, but no guarantees.

Stoopid but a fact of life.

When does Hellboy open? I forget.

Edit: wow! so many good movies to pick from. I guess we can pick a date and a place first and see what's showing when.

We have a little time to figure this out, I gotta go back to studying before my finals tomorrow and Tuesday.

There are many many films on that list I'd like to see. Must-See's in fact.

But I still hold that the mantra is true. Geek Films must be seen on opening weekend.

Sooooo, in that vein, if we don't get together on April 3rd, who wants to go see Hellboy with me then?

Yes, I even considered that one. ;) Get the SVRF involved in local politics and who knows what we might accomplish. One step closer to your bid for president, right Deadpool?

I'll give the poll a few more days, but I am also leaning towards the 3rd, KR. Any good ideas for theaters that are somewhat central and have easy parking? I know there are a few off the Reno 80 near Roseville. There are also a lot of food places around there.

Roseville would be incredibly convenient for me. There are plenty of good eateries off of Douglas.

I would just like to let all of you know I have a boycott going against Regal/UA theaters, so please let's choose a Century.

Only if you tells us why KR.

I just wish I could have a debate against GW Bush. Man that would be fun.

I am after all a master debater.

Oh yeah my stickers will read
"Re-Elect Deadpool Make the Insane Choice
    in 08"

Honestly though I don't expect my campain to go far. I wont fund raise. I wont travel much. and I'm really in it just because I want to annoy the other guys, and we all know how down right annoying I can be right?

I figure if I get all the Sci fi geeks on my side, and all the wrestling demographic, and all the people who listen to shock radio, watch porn etc ...I might stand a slim chance at at least getting on the ticket under some party....or I can make my own.

I want to be the first guy kicked out of a presidential debate.

come on you guys know you want to vote for me. it'll be the funniest election ever.

Still trying to decide who should be my vice president.

    Rom Jeremy?
    Dave Chapelle?
    Random Homeless guy?

I might even go with a made up invisable friend I call Skip.

    *takes deep breath*

Well, y'see I'm a film elitist. An Idealist. I am disgusted with commercials before movies. Trailers yes, commercials no. My favorite theater of all time is the Arclight in Hollywood because they treat you like you're going to the "Theater" not the movies. Reserved seatings, no commercials, ushers showing you to your seats, films introduced by ushers, wider seats, wider aisles, no seats close to the screen. The works.

So, I went to see The Passion at a Regal in Natomas. The ticket was free, but I still almost walked out. Regal/UA/Edwards now have a thing they call "The Twenty". It is 20 minutes of commercials for NBC, TNT, and USA TV shows. Oh and American Express commercials. So, before the movie starts you get a half hour of CRAP. They will never get another dime from me until they stop this insanity.

    *takes deep breath*

Sorry, I'm a bit passionate about film and this is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I'm with ya KR had to ask though I figured it was about the ads...but it could have been someone put something aside from butter on your popcorn....like Mayo!!!

I haven't gone to a regal theater many times but when I saw *sigh* Underworld (yeah I know) I walked in to that TNT set of crap they show and I was utterly confused I thought I was late for the film for a second.

then I sat through 20 mins of TNT We know Drama ads.

So Imagine I was unhappy before the film started...then I saw underworld...yiikes....(goes off topic) I mean come on!! only a complete tool could ruin hot vampire chicks in skin tight leather and vinyl!!! and seriously the writer needs his butt kicked...Vamps vs Wolves should write itself...and why the heck are they mostly fighting with guns?!!!
    (gets back on topic)
So I agree with KR...no mayo on my popcorn and no Regal theaters.

There's a century in Roseville off Greenback and there's one in Sacramento off of Douglas. Which would be better for everyone?

Seeing as over half the group hasn't voted yet (are they even lurking?) I am going to go with Saturday the 3rd and pick a time when I know what the theater schedule is. Good? Would you guys rather do a matinee and save a few bucks and then do an early dinner so we can talk longer?

I'm good for either time. if it's at night I wont need to send Henry off to the inlaws.

I guess it depends on if we are filming anything that day.
