Yoda cooks in ESB. Are Jedi required to learn this? Were there electives in Jedi training, or did he take a course at the Coruscant Community Center?

For some reason this is really bugging me. Now I'm imagining that Episode III's big climax comes when Anakin makes a better clam bake than Obi-Wan or somethin'.

Perhaps part of the Jedi Trials is to go to planets like that and learn to cook.

Either that, or part of the trials is community service teaching homeless people how to cook ;)

I think all Jedi must go through survival training that should include cooking and washing their underwear.

When 900 years old you reach, know how to cook you should, hmm?

I learned to make grilled cheese when I was 10. I think a 900 year old has probably learned a thing or two about how to cook.

Course, judging by Luke's reaction to the rootleaf stew, that doesn't necessarily mean GOOD cooking.

Hes been around for along time. If he hasn't learned to cook by the age of 900 then he seriously needs to get his priorities right. ;)

What do you think were Yoda's favorite dishes when he was on Dagobah?

    Mynock a la orange?

    Mud Flambé?

Well, it looks like Sludgy Brown Stuff in a Bowl was a popular dish.

Since Yoda can't run down the street to Taco Belch, he had to learn to cook on Dagobah if he planned to survive. Granted, there ain't much GOOD stuff to cook there. Mynock Souffle?

I wonder if, in an attempt to make AOTC and ESB look better together, revisions and updates will be made...

-- With some clever CGI background changes, Yoda's lesson to the younglings in AOTC will now take place in the Iron Chef 'kitchen stadium'.

-- Yoda will be seen helping out in Dex's kitchen in AOTC, and when we get to the dining room on Cloud City in ESB, he'll be there too, unveiling a tasty dish and maybe folding some napkins.

-- In ESB, Yoda will use the Force to float some CGI food into Luke's mouth.

If he lives alone for over 20 years, he'd better either learn to cook or stock up on a LOT of TV dinners and Hot Pockets.

Maybe he learned to cook at Friday's. Judging by those TV ads, those guys will cook anything!

"When 900 years old you reach, cook as good, you will not."

How many Fridays are in a millenium? :D

Yoda doesn't know how to cook. He threw some swamp mud in the pot. Luke couldn't eat it. Yoda is cooking challenged. He probably learned to cook from The Man that lives in Mace Windu's Ear.

Don't give in to fast food. That leads to the Dark Side.

Maybe this is what finally killed Yoda.
He had to eat his own cooking.

Maybe Jedi Training requires a Home Ec. credit.

Or he gets access to the Food Network.
