Nah Rookie One was way cooler than all of them, he had it all I'm telling you, a moister farmer who joined the rebellion and flew in the battle of Yavin, come on who else has done that. The he stopped a top secret Imperial project with help from his quick witted female missions officer, who was also a really good piolt. I say who else does that sound like? no one thats who.

Rookie One is that you? And his sidekick, Ru Merleen!

yep thats thats the "ONE" i'm talking about.

I say it sounds like a less-capable version of Kyle Katarn. :p

NO! Not Rookie One! I still have horrible memories of asking for Dark Forces for my birthday and getting Rebel Assualt. And then of the 2nd asteroid field which I swear is impossible.

LucasArts will give us their next blockbuster PC title:

Rebel Assault III: Hurray for the Hiromi.

It is a dark, squirmish, and very, very BAD time of not nice things happening in the galaxy. The Glorious HIROMI are preparing to conquer the center of Galactic Civilization--CHENINI, a moon of Tatooine. From there, they will soon launch assaults on strategic worlds such as the forest moon of Endor, Aduba-3, Coachelle Prime, Muskree, Agamar, and Iceberg 4. They will raise a mercenary army of carote-chopping LEPI KICK-BOXERS and stone-slinging EWOK COMMANDOES. All this, and they will be loyal members of the Galactic Alliance! Who can stop their rampage of unstoppable, neverendable, not-very-nice conquest [in which they take great care not to get in trouble]?

One brave man steps up to the challenge, an Alliance pilot name...err...well, we're not sure what he's named. But he goes by the awe-inspiring, nifty, totally cool nickname of ROOKIEE ONE! Accompanied by a woman who does have a name, he is determined to stop the HIROMI from bein not nice to other people!

Somewhere on Hologram Fun World, ROOKIE ONE meets with Alliance Special Agent BARNEY [no, NOT the dinosaur] to discuss matters of galactic concern....

P.S. We forgot to mention that woman is name RU MURLEEN. And even she can't tell us what ROOKIE ONE's name is.

    SC - Very funny LOL!

Rookie One - what a cool callsign!
And Rebel Assault 2 is still one of the best SW games ever made.

Oh my, no! There are a lot of better games than that. For example: Jedi OUtcast, KotoR.

I love Rebel Assault II. Amazing storyline with some great set-pieces. The escape from a Super Star Destroyer was awesome. And [with a certain cheat mode] we get some of the funniest quotes yet in a SW game.

"Put on your eating gloves, Rookie One, and prepare to chow down!"

I wouldn't mind seeing Rookie One again, maybe in a Keyan Farlander sort of cameo role.

Just imagine how funny it would be, to have a Star Wars Tales "video game character" issue with a hero named Rookie One. :-S

    So, you are Rookie One?

Rookie One? I haven't gone by that name since, oh, before...ok, after you were born, but it was a long time for me.

It'd be cool if Rookie One had an alien sidekick, namely Wookiee One.

Rebel Assult II was a fun game but it was way to hard sometimes and too easy others and that got annoying, damn Minning Tunnel and that was only the third Level! But you got to love the full motion video stuff. Such a cool game.

Hey cause we don't knwo his real name, how do know he hasn't made a Cameo already?

To me, the Rebel Assault series is the only EU that is not canon at all. It contradicits so much of the Star Wars universe and I think the developers intended it to be an alternate telling of a lot of what we saw in the movies.
