Where Has Ganner Gone?

I've read all of the NJO so far, and loved it. My question is, where is Ganner? He got his face sliced up, and became a nicer guy, then we don't hear anything else about him. What's the deal?

I would like to see more about him. I hope they don't just ignore him.

 

I want Ganner back, too! He has potential... especially after the mission in... um.. somewhere, where he got the scar. I could see him going 'Rogue' by getting together with Corran (Get your minds out of the gutter! SO what if I hang there all the time?). Or anything. Just bring Ganner back!

he got a wake up call with that scar. i think he is a very influential and powerful character and can be of great help. they should put him back in the books

 

Ganner is in EU limbo.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing. While I like Ganner, the more pet characters a novel includes, the less space is available in a 250 page book for the big seven (Han, Leia, Luke, Mara, Anakin, Jaina and Jacen).

Who do you think the majority of readers would rather have: Anakin or Lieutenant Page? Page may be cool, but he just doesn't have the draw that Anakin does.

 

They should have books that are DEDICATED to the minor characters in the NJO. Like the X-Wing series was. (Except that Corran become a Major one) Like... what are the Wraiths doing? Or the other Jedi? We want to know. When the NJO nears its conclusion... These will appear. They'll torment us a little longer.

I think Ganner was supposed to be featured in the cancelled Knightfall Duology.

 

I'ven't even heard of the Knightfall... But remembering Ithor, that could've been Corran, too.

Ganner was a good character, but as GtG says, he has been cast into EU Limbo

Hopefully, he will find his way out and make an appearence in later books.

Ganner quickly became one of my faves, and I felt he'd be the perfect character to replace Corran after he went into exile. Then, just as quicky as he made a name for himself and developed a following, the Kinghtfall trilogy was cancelled and Ganner was rocketed into EU limbo.


Ah, well, maybe Danni Quee is keeping him company.

I agree with the book legnths, and so do almost everyone on this board. With the exception of HT and JE, and, obviously, the HCs, each book had been the standard 292 pages.

 

DVader316, you're WRONG. Conquest was 291 pages.

The books should be longer! Why can't they be? Then we could see our fave characters without their appearances becoming irrelevant and "kewl".

I LOVED ganner! why oh why? ok not that serious but I would very much like him back.

 

Ganner is not, and never has been, Jorallen.

He's a character that's been shuffled out of the way for now. He was a foil for Corran during Dark Tide and hasn't come back.

 

He played off Corran well, and was a great addition to the storyline.

I thought he got killed off with Wurth Skidder oh well, I can't keep track of EVERYONe, aparently, neither can the authors.

 

He wasn't with Skidder when he died. At least I don't believe so.

This question could apply to a number of people (Jag, Danni..). If it was going to be Ganner in Knightfall( although it looks like that wasn't him after all) and that got botched then they might know what to do with him now. I liked him. I hope he comes back.
