Where have the Lightsabers gone?

They've had sound since the first ones in the 80's came out. True back then it was just a whinning gryo but hey it worked.

 

Yeah, the sound has always been there. But not the neat motion activated sounds. It's a new feature to the electronic line starting with the ROTS Vader, Luke, and Jedi lightsabers.

 

What on Earth is it with these electronic lightsabers?!

As I posted yesterday, I bought Vader's electronic saber at Wal-Mart, and the light only stayed on for a few seconds, and then it stopped turning on. So I go and exchange it for another one today, and it doesn't light up at all! What's the deal here?

I just now have seen stores re-stocked with the light up sabers.

 

Which stores, please? Target, TRU, KB Toys, what? Thanks!

 

I've seen them at both Wal-Mart and Target. The closest Wal-Mart to me got 100 sabers (or so I was told by the toy dept. manager), and one guy went and bought 70 and another went and got 20... supposdedly to go sell in Mexico.

I'd gotten the Darth Vader saber twice, but both times it was defective. The light didn't work. So I had to return it both times, and here I am with no lightsaber.

I emailed Hasbro last Thursday, but they haven't responded yet.

 

I found the Obi-Wan and Anakin ones in a local Walmart. Just this week. Haven't seen any Yoda ones in a while. TRU was to be restocked this month with them, or so I was informed by a sales associate.

 

They're gone here, too. This is odd.

 

My local Targets now have the lightsabers back in stock, along with the Ultimate or Make Your Own Lightsaber kit (whatever it's called).
