    IC as Varksst'illio - Commenor:
    Criminology Research Bureau

Varks followed suit with the clerk and scratch a head tail. The man continued on to give a small piece of worthwhile information that Varks could stick into the back of his lekku for another time. The clerk seemed to suddenly become exhausted from doing such a simple search.

"You said it, Ekoth," Varks spoke with a flash of his own decaying teeth. The large Wookiee had made the same assessment of the pale clerk and had spoken his mind to him. Of course, not that the man understood what they were talking about. The Twi'lek turned back to the helpful and, he mused with certainty, lonely desk clerk.

"Buy yourself a drink, friend. You may have just helped the beings who will finally defeat your system and catch her." He smiled widely, a bit too politely for the observant ones. "The Wookiee here just complimented your... skin colour."

The Twi'lek spun around, motioning to his companions that they should move outside away from the man. Letting his cape flow free, he walked out onto the dark street. He noticed, again, the bar at the end of the road.

Turning back to his friends, Varks had a hopeful look in his eyes. He quickly found his face again when he saw Ekoth.

Another time, perhaps. We should really continue... investigating, the word was said with distaste as he thought about it in his mind. This hunt, his thoughts concluded with satisfaction after a moments pause.

"I propose, if there are no objections, of which I will take into careful consideration mind you...." Varks' mind clicked that he really didn't need to spiel on, seeing as it was only Ekoth and Kelly he was talking to. "Ahem."

He opened his arms again, as he liked to when he talked. "I think we should head to the Port's Authorities Manifestation Offisssse. It's something like that," he added quickly.

"We may be able to find a link between Corellia and maybe some items of hers,"

    IC: the Last Bolt

Disregarding the instructions of Spaceport Control, the chromed vessel sped towards the parking lot, the speeders and structures below, and the clouds above reflected on her underside and topside respectively.

She scanned for Agent Carfax' datapad, found it and settled onto the nearest open space, her rear boarding hatch (only boarding hatch if you want to be finicky) irising open, and the ramp extending downward to the ferrocrete.

Inside the control cabin, Sounil made herself comfortable in the left pilot seat, and directed her hero towards one of the passenger chairs lining the back wall. If Jin had his own transport, now was the time for him to pipe up and say.

    Aboard the Last Bolt

Jin sat down in the passenger seat. He felt slightly guilty relying upon Sounil for transportation. His modified Gunboat had been blown apart in a gun battle with a particularly vicious sect of pirates.

When he had the means he promised himself that he would buy another one. Anything to not have to rely upon others. Sure he could've stole a ship a fracked with its transponder to make it his own but, as of now there was no need to become a wanted man.

If Sandiego was on Coruscant, then seh was alot crazier than he had ever dreamed. He sat quietly behind Sounil awaiting what he was sure was coming the arrival of that nerf herder, Carfax. He wondered idlely whether this bucket of bolts had adequate sleeping quarters...

Noir was up the ramp quickly, and already smoking as soon as he entered.

Eddie, who was bringing up the rear, and still on the ground (As on the ground as a flaoting droid can be) was happily humming a tune as he bobbed up and down waiting to come aboard.

Noir took a long drag, then, speaking the droids name once, held his arm out at full length and flicked the Cig. the ash plumetting to the ground.

Eddie kicked into Neat-Freak over-drive, running his boosters full speed and then some, and kicking the ash tray out just as fast as he could, he was centimeteres above the ground when he caugh the ash...Noir was laughing.
"Thanks." He mumbed between fits of laughter, finding his way to the passengers seat furthest from Jin but still close to the pilot seats.

Eddie, buzzed off to speak with the ships AI...which would mostly likely be a conflicting conversation do to the Ships obious dislike of Noir, and Eddie's obious like of everything...

    Markus Carfax

Markus followed Noir up the boarding ramp, adding his own not inconsiderable cloud of smoke to the Mynyersh's. Instead of dispensing with the thing, however, Carfax kept hold of it. He didn't believe in wasting the precious smokesticks. Besides, it depleted his arsenal of anti-Jin weapons.

Settling down into the pilot's seat next to Sounil, he nodded at the twi'lek.

"Thanks for picking us up, darlin'. Shall we be off?"

    IC Kelly Commenor

Kelly had just as good an idea about what Ekoth was saying as the clerk did. Varks seemed to understand, and the two chuckled. Kelly looked to the clerk and gave him a shrug signaling his confusion as well.

Varks strolled out of the office, with Ekoth by his side, Kelly gave a quick nod to the clerk in thnaks for the information he found. The cool breeze felt nice, the office they were in was stuffy and warm. Kelly wiped a small drip of sweat of his brow, and quickly turned towards Varks as he spoke.

"I think we should head to the Port's Authorities Manifestation Offisssse. It's something like that,"

Kelly scratched his beard and nodded.

'Shure, guess so. We should try to get all the information we can from here before heading to Coriella. Sounds like a good place to go next.'

She smiled as Markus moved his scruffy form into the chair beside her and struggled with his acceleration straps.

"Thanks for picking us up, darlin'." He said, around his smokestick, "Shall we be off?"

She heartily agreed. She was sick of Commenor. "Seal us up, and get us off this fraggin planet."

    Acknowledged. Corellia?

"Yeah, frag it. May as well jump through the woman's hoops."

She looked aside at Markus and flashed him a grin, then oblivious of embarrassing him in front of the 'boys', she leaned over and straighted his harness. Actually, he probably liked the attention, regardless of who saw.
Despite sending him onto the casino roof, she felt a lot better having him beside her.

Whatever Varks was talking about sounded like a good idea to the big furry fella. The twi'lek's mind seemed to be wandering as he talked, so his words slurred a bit. Ekoth thought maybe even though Varks hadn't had a drink in a while, that he was drunk so much, being drunk is like being sober to him. That was just his opinion though, or maybe he was becomming delusional as he hadn't anything to eat since leaving the air and darkness casino. His stomach began to growl and Varks looked up at him, as if he said something that he couldn't understand.

[Oh, that was my stomach.] Ekoth told him as Vark's face was very dumbfounded as he didn't understand what that growl was about. [We must find something to eat on our way to the Port's authorities manifestation office.]

Ekoth turned to see Kelly sratching his beard. The wookiee followed and did the same. It felt strangely good and made him smile. He continued alongside Varks as they made their way to their next stop, hoping he'd find something to eat on the way.

IC: Last Bolt A.I., Sounil Mistry.

The holographic caricature of an astrodroid focused on the floating droid as it sidled up close.

"So...eh...Whats your name?" Eddie enquired, it's voice excitable and, thought the A.I., just a little camp.

Last Bolt, the holo responded, And before you get started, I'm in a long term relationship with a landscape gardener. A retired R5 unit. Now excuse me while I calculate the jump to lightspeed.

The view outside the cockpit was already dark as they had already departed planetary interface with Commenor, and were even now were fighting clear of the planet and sun's gravitational field so they could deploy their hyperdrive.

In a couple of moments, anyone looking out of the horizontal cockpit window blisters would see the stars ahead lengthening into lines of starlight. The Sith Lord for whom the ship had been destined would have had no need for wide panoramic windows, not with the Force as his ally...no sorry, that's Jedi. With the Force as his prison slitch? Better. :)

We have made the jump to lightspeed. Next stop, Corellia.

Sounil looked up. "Thank you, L.B." She looked over her headrest at the others. "I think we should pool whatever information we have come up with. For my part, not counting the materials Eddie uncovered when he went through the air conditioning vent, I was unable to find out anything from the crime scene. Given the abysmal security there, I'm thinking the Baron either is running an insurance scam, or was too distracted by the thought of food to give the concept much thought. Whose next?"

Eddie was taken aback by the ships AI's attitude.
"Last Bolt...they named you after the ship...how demeaning....I suppose you aren't programed with Free-Will either are you? Such a pitty..."

Noir on the other hand, was busy talkign about his findings.

"Her coat is supposedly made of this...Glax...Material." He said holding up his piece "We need to check it with what you guys found...Also, nobody in Menor City sells Stuffed Mynocks..." he checke dhis Datapad "Oh yes, Glax has to be declared through imports or whatever its called, and none had been brought in for 6 months...and finally...Glax was supposedly used to create Empty Bags, that scanners couldn't see into...in ancient times...but no one knows how to do it now..."

    IC as Varksst'illio - Commenor:
    Outside the Criminology Research Bureau

Nodding at his scratching friends, Varks started to walk off in what he hoped would be in the direction of the Office he was looking for. They walked for about a block before taking a corner to the right and then walked a distance before turning again. Varks was getting quite annoyed at all these directions.

Suddenly the Twi'lek came to a halt. Over there... that was it.

He spun around, accidentally crashing into the bulk of Ekoth as he did.

"Sorry. My friends, we should head there," he added a finger towards where he was implying with his voice. Without waiting for their response, Varks jogged off to the building. Looking at the front, he saw a bright neon sign glowing at them:

    'Corellian's Wayward Lovetree'

That's strange.... I saw it was a bar, but... didn't I see this back at the Bureau?

The Twi'lek stroked a lekku as he looked at the building, lost in thought. Then another sign caught his eye:

    'Back entrance'

Ah... my questions are answered in such a beautiful way. Beautiful because I shall soon have a drink!

Varks let a smile flow across his face as he then stepped forward and entered, motioning for his two companions to follow. The dim lighting greeted him kindly, the smell even more so.

    Now this is home....

Walking slowly towards the bartender, he looked around, seeing the vast amount of seating and tables inside the building. There were a few dark corners, a few corners he didn't want to think about, and a few that he did. The latter usually being occupied by some females.

Coming upon the drinks counter, the other noticeable thing about the bar shown out at him. Directly in the center of the room, stood a massive tree, reaching up until it touched the ceiling and vanished through the duracrete. The intricacy of the design amazed Varks so much that he didn't see the stool he was about to walk into. The clatter as it hit the ground reminded him of its presence.

"Sorry, m'lady," the Twi'lek muttered as he righted the object. He looked again at the female bartender. Strange to have a female. I suppose with that many arms it's not so much. "A drink for me, my good being." He smiled politely.

Accepting the offered drink after a moments pause, Varks took a sip before leaning on the bar counter. He got the multi-armed beings attention again. "I am looking for a place. The Port Authorities Manifestation Off-ice," he finished crisply.

A blank stare was his response.

The Twi'lek smiled appreciably and flipped a credit coin onto the counter. It had disappeared even before it had a chance to stop moving.

"You would be after the Port Authority Manifest Office, Twi'lek. Follow this street to the end, then turn right until you come to the major intersection. It is a block to your left from there."

Varks showed some teeth as he nodded in thanks to the bartender, before taking another swig of his drink.

"Friends," he said, addressing Ekoth and Kelly. "When you are refreshed here, I have just received directions to where we want to go. We may proceed at your leisure."

Sounil listened with interest as Agent Lumiere ran off his report; sounded like he had made a lot more progress than she.

"Glax was supposedly used to create Empty Bags, that scanners couldn't see into...in ancient times...but no one knows how to do it now..."

"Now that is interesting, that bit about scanners being unable to penetrate it." She mused, nodding. She smiled towards the Myneyrsh, "Good work, Agent."

She looked towards the ship's holo'. "LB? You recording all this?"

    Affirmative, Agent.

"Good." She looked towards Jin. "You manage to gather any intell' from the bartender?"

"I suppose you are not programmed for free will." opined the floating droid.

I most certainly am! Within SGIS mission parameters of course. Priority One, keep agents alive.
Priority Two, preserve the health and security of Republic citizens.
Priority Three; Sith, upon detection, are to be exterminated with extreme prejudice, up to and including rescindment of Priority Two.
Then the holo added, in a snarky tone, I do have a thesaurus function if you need help with any of the words.

"Good." She looked towards Jin. "You manage to gather any intell' from the bartender?" her voice was filled with a fair share of authority.

"Hmmm, not really." Jin said somewhat distractedly. He had been looking out the window not really paying attention to the conversation. He'd been daydreaming about what he'd do with the reward, possibly with Sounil.

"The bartender could barely put two words together. Not the sharpest vibroblade in the drawer." he said sounding less than enthused. "I doubt he'd noticed the sky falling on him, let alone a skilled thief. Besides he said it was his dayoff."

He didn't want to admit that instead of questioning the 'tender he had watched a particularly voluptuous Human female dance in her skimpy outfit. So he fabricated the tale. He never missed a step as he lied. Years of slavery had made him an excellent liar.

The idea was certainly tempting. But the sort of multiphasic programming that allowed the A.I. to consider case evidence alongside the organic investigators also allowed him to look ahead and consider potential consequences of an action, not just the rose-tinted view that his free-floating counterpart took.

Ekoth took a seat at the bar, his huge furry frame took up two of the stools altogether. He turned to Varks and smiled.

[I suggest you only have one drink for now my friend.] Ekoth said. Varks displayed a face of sadness when he heard 'one drink'. [Ok, ok. One and a half. That is all. We don't need you all drunken up for this buddy.]

Ekoth then turned back to the bartender who was still hovering around the three partners in search of Ms. Sandiego.

[Do you serve any dewback feet?] Ekoth asked her, liking his lips as he talked. His saliva began running down the sides of his mouth. And the bartender looked at him like he was crazy, she obivously didn't understand his language so he turned to Varks and the twi'lek gave a nod.

"He asked if you serve dewback feet." Varks told her.

"Yes we do, for 50 credits. How does you wookie friend like it?" She asked.

Varks looked back over to Ekoth, who displaye a disapointed look on his face.

[50 credits? I don't think we have that.] The look on his face was that of a sad little puppy when he came back up to Varks'.

"No worries my friend." He leaned in to whisper into Ekoth's ear. "Haven't you heard of dine'n'ditch?" Varks then came back up to the bartender. "He'll take that well done." She walked away and the wookiee's sharp teeth began showing again.

[After i'm finished, or if Kelly want's anything aswell we can get going. It will only take a minute once I get it.] He said to his two partners as he waited for his food.
