I know that nobody (including me) likes the b****, but where did she go to? And how did the Republic finally cleanse the Deep Core?

I bring this up, because somebody on another topic posted the bit from the essential chronology regarding the fate of the Black Fleet and it said something about Daala being in the core with warlords. (BTW, the bit about the SSD being "mysteriously destroyed" on the rim is sooo cool. That's just creepy).

Now, generally I don't like the essential chronology and avoid it (for gods sake people, it has those abominable 'son of palpatine' books in it), so here's my timeline.

    a) Darksaber. Daala kills Imperial warlords and re-unites empire. Daala gets her butt kicked and hands over command to Pelleaon.

*Pelleon does the best he can, and manages to restores order in the 8 sectors that eventually become the Imperial Remnant. However, the New Republic counter attacks the Deep Core after what Daala did, making it impossible for Pelleaon to retain control there*

    b) Black Fleet Crisis, Ill-prepared new republic gets butt kicked. According to chronology, Daala Still in Deep Core with warlords.

*New Republic launches new campaigns again Deep Core, begins new shipbuilding and re-arming, and wipes out the last warlords.*

    c) Corellian Trilogy. While the fleet's away, the nasty secessionists will play.

*Corellian incident starts political crisis which gets Leia removed from office.*

    d) VOTF: Imperial Peace Treaty.

So, post VOTF, where the hell is Daala? Do we care? And, BTW, is my timeline is wrong, please, say so! I want to know what happened! Because in the NJO there is no imperial menace in the Deep Core.

I think she is in hiding, with maybe two or three ships, the biggest being a victory SSD.

In PLanet of Twilight, she has a brief kind of cameo introduction. By accident, she "captures" C-3PO and R2 while they are on some planet. What happens i don't exactly remember, but as it turns out she finds her long lost love and they go off together with a small Imperial escort. All the loses she has had pretty much forced her to call it quits and fade into to background. Before she found her love she was planning to go into obscurity, but now she goes with him.

I think thats right. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I also don't read comics so if there is more to this story i am not aware of it.

Well, she first retired, create her own small 'army' and helped Luke & cie during Planet of Twilight. Then she found love and was left alone by the NR... But according to the EC, she went to the core then and disappeared since then...

EDIT : It's Planet of Twilight, not New Rebellion, as said before. :D

I would like to see Daala get back into NJO. Her ruthlessness matches the Vongs.

Ahem, also According to the EC, during the BFC time period, she came out of retirement, and created a small fleet had a battle, her ship blew up, and it says they think she most likely died, but they don't want to rule out that he could have escaped again. That was the final outcome of daala.

I hope the NJO brings old character back like Daala. I never really read about her, or read any books with her in it, but she sounds like the last old time Imperials, who still goes by the Emperor's law.

I wish she returned too. It was refreshing to have an Imperial Admiral with problems. I think she'd be good in command of a SD, not a fleet

Probably not going to return because she is most likely killed.

Didn't Admiral Pellaeon issue a recall for all Imperials everywhere? Guess this guy Daala's going out with must be SOME guy. :p

Essnetial Chronology says that before the HoT duology, the New Republic Fleet launches a devastating attack on the Remnant's of the Empire. The combined Third and Fifth Fleet go after Pallaeon's shrinking Empire while General Bel Iblis and the Fourth Fleet go after the Deep Core warlords under Daala. IN a brillant manuever utilising two CC-7700 frigates (Republic type interdictors) General Bel Iblis manages to trap Daala in her flagship. She replies by ramming her ship into one of the CC-7700's possibly destroying both ships. However, due to Daala having survived the KJA trilogy the NR refuses to declare Daala officially dead

I want to see Daala back in the NJO. Maybe she could raid some small NR base and then get scolded by Pelly or something.

Thanx Lord Riven, nice answer. The Essential Chronology is so full of fun facts, eh?

Too bad the GODV series is in it. I wish that nightmare would finally die.

In Planet of Twilight Daala runs off with a long lost love, Ligeus, and a year or two later she rejoins the empire and apparently gets killed.

What I would like to know:
a)When and where did she meet Ligeus for the first time when she became Tarkin's lover at age sixteen and was hiddenin the maw installation later on (according to timetale)?
b)What make her break up with Ligeus?
c)The line about the SSD drifting in space, abandoned and beyond repair, near the outer rim, could indicate an encounter with the Vong. This would have taken place before Vector Prime. The Imperial Remnant would have known about. If it was abandonned it survived the fight because it wasn't destroyed. Where is the crew? CSA?
