Where is the best place to find fan made films, bloopers etc. without helping bootleggers?

Is there any free sites or ftps to download fan films like Thumbwars, Troops, the rarities discs etc. without paying for them on eBay? I'd love to get these dvd's but am against paying for them when they aren't the property of those who are selling them. I'm all up for sharing amongst fans...anyone willing to help out a longtime Star Wars fan who is going to be forced to grow up this coming Thursday night?
