    *Gestures to a dark alley*

    Widescreen or Pan and Scan?

    :p

    EDIT:

Walmart is the cheapest, but they're reknowned for stocking more Pan/Scan's then Letterbox...

My first bet is Costco. Most times they win, although occasionally Future Slop will beat them with a lost leader.

    *UPDATE*

    This in from Snowtroopers.ca

    A & B Sound (West coast) DVD$33.99 VHS $

    Amazon.ca DVD 26.99 VHS $19.99

    Costco DVD $25.29 VHS $16.44

    Future Shop DVD $24.99

    HMV DVD $27.99 VHS $18.99

Rogers Video DVD $26.99 VHS $18.99

    Zellers DVD $24.87 VHS $16.87

So surprise surprise, ZELLERS of all places is the winner!

I'm going to highjack this thread and ask a question. For 2-disk DVD sets, what do you guys prefer? The slim case like TPM & Spider Man(contains 2 disks in the same size as a single amaray) or the larger ones (like the Star Trek Directors Editions) that look bigger and more commanding on your shelf but take up more space.

Or do you all not care?

    Thin cases.

They can hold two discs just as well. And more space on the shelf.

I'd probably go with Best Buy.

You might wanna even try Blockbuster.

Slim Cases. Shelf space is very valuable and while I have the opportunity... BOO to snappers!! (I think Warner will finally be phasing them out, despite owning the company that produces them - good for product differentiation and I guess the environment, bad for storing)

oh..cause I don't feel like posting this elsewhere and my food is getting cold:

On my way home from class today, the subway cart I got on, the exterior, the entire cart was a giant ad for the dvd, like the bus ads, and the inside of the train almost all the advertisements were for the DVD release...tempted to take one..but I'm sure there's something out that would get me in trouble for doing that.

crap, i just knocked my knife onto the table and rice fell on the table. Shows what i get for trying to get away from the family.

Zellers may have won, but Best Buy and WalMart have not yet reported in, as it were...

Rogers may have a slightly higher price but they usually do promotions with big releases like this.

In the past which i believe they are going to be doing they give out 10 free 7 day rentals. each a 3.99 value total of around 28 bucks.

I get my movies for free anyways but some of you might want to check it out.

Yep Walmart is selling it for 24.83 but they are selling LOTR EE for 38.63. Best Buy is selling LOTR EE for 37.99 and selling SW EP2 for 24.99 I would have to drive 2 place just to save 16 cents is it worth it?

Force Lightning erupts from the hands of Darth Advantus upwards like fireworks as he is so happy in not having to make two trips nor will he have to venture to the scary Walmart parking lot........

Do you have any idea what parking is like on the weekend at Walmart with all the soccer Mom's and their minivans? It makes this Dark Lord tremble.......

Why do you get your movies for free when you don't even work there anymore? Not fair!
