Is anyone forgetting that Las Vegas is almost on the west coast? Yet, people are complaining about holding C4 on the east coast (or near it).

I must agree with Underpaid Soldier. Besides Vagas is too busy anyway. Indianapollis was great cause it was in a place that wasn't that busy, thats why it made National News 2 years in a row. I say if Indi is out why not Chicago?

I'd be up for Chicago, even though I do prefer the East Coast because of my previous comments. I've never been to Chicago, but I'm always up for travelling somewhere where I have never been before! :)

Exactly. Vegas can take their prostitutes and gambling and stuff it up their arse,

WT*? Hey say what you want about where you think it should be but I will be damned if I am gonna sit quietly and let you bad mouth my town, let alone hookers!

The conventions are getting larger each time. The facilities in Indy are still the same. Logistical problems arose after CII and they remedied SOME of it by taking over the whole Convention center for CIII. Even more problems arose because the event was bigger and larger in attendance. I don't care how friendly you are, if you are going to have an event have it someplace that can support its size. You wouldnt invite 500 people to a wedding and then rent out a hall with a capacity of 400.

If you want to visit a new city then go and visit Chicago. If you want to have a convention like C4 don't have it in Chicago. I lived there most of my life, while they host large corporate events, a convention along the lines of C4 would be a mess. Wizard World is not even held IN Chicago, but at the Rosement Convention Center by the airport. Facilities large enough for C4 would have to be at McCormick Place, basically on the lake. Even the closest hotels would be an expensive cab ride away. The area it is in a a very industrialized area as well, not much for off site food, with out a cab at least. And traffic, Only LA is worse. I love Chicago but having a convention there would be a nightmare.

NYC!?! Where at!?! I don't think so, and I can say the same for Philadelphia as well even if I do live there. :p

If it's going to be on the East Coast, then Washington DC is a good choice. They can handle it for sure.

IF they have it in Indy again, I would however get the closest hotel I could find to the Ram! lol

It needs to be held somewhere that is a big city but doesn't have other things going on. Vegas has too much going on and same with NYC. Indy is nice, San Antonio would also be good. I don't know about DC though, might be too crowded as it is in the areas the con would be held.

I'd love to see it in Pittsburgh. We have a new convention center that I think would fit the bill nicely. My college graduation was there, the building is beautiful. The only thing I thin kwould worry people is that the layout in INdy is ideal with so many hotels being within walking distance. Off the top of my head I can only think of two hotels in teh area.

Here's a link the convention center website.

Vegas is a very busy place, but it is BUILT to be a busy place. A con with say 25-30 thousand attendees puts no stress on the city at all. The con center is plenty big

Quite frankly though, It does not matter to me where it is. As long as they just have one! I think C3 pushed that convention center to it's limits though. So anywhere with a bigger convention center would be good with me.

Doctor Evil you are a genius!

Vegas was designed to accomodate thousands of people with the sole purpose of keeping them moving, entertained, and providing them with plenty of convention space and accomodations. Don't give me this "there is too much to do there that would be distracting", then you are not a true star wars fan! White Tigers, Escorts, and Gambling are no match for the power of The Force!

I don't know if ya'll noticed, but Indianapolis did just fine with accomodating the 30+ thousand fans that were at C3. The drawbacks weren't due to the city, its hotels, or its entertainment options.

I think that Indianapolis or somewhere relatively centrally located is the best idea.

I've been to trade conventions and BELIEVE ME, a more spacious convention center would have made C3 even nicer. The fact that they had to stop selling passes on Saturday because of overcrowding really says it better then any of us could argue. As a city Indy was fine, my only complaint was the size of the Convo center.

The other advantage I think Vegas would have for some of us would be that we would go for an entire week and have plenty to do on the Non-Con Days.

Chicago, baby. It's a fun town with a much better nightlife than Indy offered, at least from what I saw. Plus our food just freakin' rocks!!!

Washington DC would be my first choice and then Chicago.

But everything I'm hearing is saying the West Coast, I would rather go back to Indy in that case. :(
