JCC Where will you be during the full solar eclipse of August 21, 2017? (April 8, 2024 Edition)

It's overcast in Chicago, and the solar eclipse will coincide roughly with the sun going down. Exciting stuff.

 

Thankfully the maximum section of this eclipse here in La La Land (around 3:30pm) will coincide with my walk... and the skies are clear!

 

and if it didn't you couldn't possibly catch it rite cus walks have to be done at certain times for busy people

during the blood moon a couple weeks back it was overcast here but it was kind of cool all the same because one corner of the sky was lit up all red

Gonna be home early so I'll be able to catch it. Maximum eclipse will be visible at 5:57 here.

 

Looks liek it is supposed to start here around 5:45 and be visible until 6:40 or so which is sunset time here.

90% and I think around 9:30 A.M. I think I will GoPro it.

 

About 73% for me, but I'm possibly going to be on a vacation that will include being in the path of totality on the 21st.

Got my eclipse glasses ready and everything.

 

Almost like with the current Dodger TV deal, there'll be 0% coverage of this here in La La Land.

Only in the USA and not here in Germany. But we had our total solar eclipse already on 11th August 1999. I was 9 years old back then, but I remember how spectacular it was.

I just found out there's a partial lunar eclipse tonight (though it may be over by now).

If you live in the purple area on this map, you'll be able to see it.

 

One of the rare times it's actually awesome to live in Columbia.

It happens around 2:40-ish for us. Unfortunately I'm supposed to work that day. I heard a rumor that they might close down state agencies (like the university where I work) due to the unprecedented influx of traffic Columbia will receive that day, but I haven't heard anything concrete. And I have very little vacation time remaining, so...

But at least I'm on the list to receive a couple pairs of eclipse glasses!

 

I will be in Tetons National Park in Wyoming; will be 100% coverage there. Really looking forward to it.
